"We're having a less aggravating class today," Cara said once her students had arrived at the Danger Shop, which was basically an admission the previous week's had been a set up. "Because sometimes a good fight helps just be being entertaining, even if you're not the one fighting."

Yeah, it was a movie day today.

By now, Lucille wasn't surprised to find a few books crawling around the shelves, looking somewhat like tiny animals. She was perhaps a little confused that they seemed to be pretending to be sheep, bleating at each other, but by now even that warranted only a raised eyebrow.

She settled down behind the desk with a book about 20th century fashion. Not that she had any intention of adopting more modern dress, but it never hurt to have a better understanding of it.

"I don't know if you heard the radio last Saturday," Steve began, "but I thought Mr. Constantine made a good point about not keeping the grimmer parts of the world from you. So today we're going to watch meta for Schindler's List. I'm warning you in advance that there's parts of it that are gonna be tough to take, but it's very important to remember the real history of our country, not just the spit-shined and media friendly stuff. When we forget how cruel and horrible we can be to fellow humans, it's easy to slip back down into an us versus them mindset, and that's incredibly dangerous."

Guess who'd been reading up on modern politics, again, kids.

"Now this particular camp was in Poland, and so it was eventually liberated by the Russian Army, but the Americans and Brits found plenty of their own coming in from the West. I'm turning the lights off, but leaving the door open, so if you need to leave, go ahead, no questions asked." Steve gave them a sad smile. "Tissues are in the back of the classroom, just in case. Here we go."

Today's class had been taken by portal to Washington, DC, where Brian had just finished paying the rental guy for their sweet, sweet rides for the day. "Okay, listen up," he said, "this guy's going to handwavily talk to you about how to drive a Segway before you actually do it." Once the guy had finished, Brian said, "You've all got maps, most of you I assume have cell phones. This is the real world, so remember, you don't get any do-overs, and if you get hit by a car that's bad. First one to the Washington Monument wins."
