Eliot was looking a fair bit brighter this week than last week, and Pinkie was actually there, bouncy and pink. Everything was back to normal, including the way Eliot was glaring at her.

"Heya everypony!" Pinkie greeted. "This week we're headed somewhere warm and fun again! Just in case you all had your fill of snow."

"You're welcome," Eliot said drily. "Her original syllabus had us going to Siberia this week."

"It just sounds so fun!"

"No." The portal opened up, and Eliot and Pinkie started herding the students through.

"Welcome," Pinkie said, as they looked out over a reflecting pool towards a white, onion-domed and turreted structure "To Agra!"

"Also known as the home of the Taj Mahal," Eliot said. "One of the most famous mausoleums in all of Earth history."

"You all could easily spend the whole class just checking out the Taj itself," Pinkie said. "But Agra has plenty more fun historical monuments to explore, too!"

"And a wildlife reserve, if that's more up your alley," Eliot said.

"So don't let us keep ya!" Pinkie cheered. "Get out there and see what there is to see!"

It seemed the radio hosts weren't the only ones wondering how it had gotten to be February already; Cosette was sure she could hear the calendar rustling its pages in confusion every so often. On top of this, she had to keep looking in on the periodicals, which kept shuffling themselves around and somehow managing to look more perplexed than you'd think a collection of magazines and newspapers were capable of conveying.

Well, you might think that if you hadn't spent a whole lot of time in the Fandom High library. Cosette was utterly unsurprised by this, and luckily fairly well practiced at consoling library materials. It didn't completely assuage the periodicals' anxiety, but it did seem to help.

It was practically spring-like in Moscow today--hovering a few degrees above freezing!--as the students grouped around Obi-Wan and Anakin in Red Square.

"Welcome to Russia," Anakin said, hood pulled up to protect his hair ears. "This is Moscow, its capital. As is customary by now, you must complete one task with your partner, and then two tasks on your own before finding us again to head back to the relative warmth of Maryland."

Before Obi-Wan could get in a word edgewise, Anakin clapped his hands. "Your first assignment is a team one. See those men?" He pointed to a group of well-dressed Russian men. "They are waiting for you to bring them their brides from their apartments all over Moscow."

He handed each team a poor-drawn map with all of the street names scrawled in Cyrillic. "You must fetch the brides via those sturdy looking cars--" the sarcasm was palpable because the Ladas were anything but sturdy, and the Russian cab drivers loitering next to them looked anything but thrilled to be participating in this madness, "and then bring them back here to their future husbands." He smiled. "And then you'll get your next task."

Oh, you lucky things.
