[Class #9 - The High Note Job]

“Welcome to Fandom’s Got Talent!” Parker was making one of the judges chairs flip around back and forth, but finally made it stop to face the students. “in the grand tradition of teamwork and distractions, you guys are now a singing group.”

"Like the Dixie Chicks," Eliot said from where he leaned against the judges' table. "Or that, uh. Rascal Flats."

He was doing that on purpose to mess with you all. Maybe.

"Or, you know, a good group," Hardison said. "You could decide to be one of those instead. Like Hall an' Oates, but with more people."

“You have to pick a song, practice it, then perform it for our studio audience and the judges.” Parker spun her chair around one more time, and then propelled herself out of it. “It’s okay if you can’t sing. You can back-up dance. Or! You can gesture emphatically.”

"You can do basically whatever you want," Eliot noted. "Don't mean you're gonna win."

Class was being held in the gym today, and Bond also seemed both unusually serene and unusually casual, being dressed in workout gear as he sat cross legged on one of the numerous mats set out long the floor.

"Welcome," he said, standing. "Now today's class is going to be about proper form when lying, so after we finish our warm-up stretches, I would like you all to get into corpse pose so we may begin."

Clint looked a little better this week than last week - he showered and actually eaten something! - and he had the question box on his lap as he sat perched on the front desk. "I actually found a question in here the other day. First of all, thank you for your condolences about Kitty. I really appreciate it," he said. "As for the question: Have you ever had that not so fresh feeling? Also what is that not so fresh feeling? Doesn't that just mean you need a doctor? I try to avoid not so fresh feelings? I think, at best, it's a sign that someone hasn't been showering enough, but it could also be a sign that they have one of our friendly looking STDs, so a doctor's visit might not be a bad idea."

Clint laughed softly and set the box aside, taking a deep breath. "So, today we're going to talk about relationships." Because Clint was a glutton for punishment like that. "Primarily, monogamy vs. polygamy. Monogamy is the idea that people should have one partner at a time - once you find a girlfriend or boyfriend, you just date that person until you break up or get married or whatever. Polygamy refers to any relationship that involves more than two people. Usually, it's talking about a guy married to a lot of women, but that's gross and not what I want us to be thinking about. Some people say that you can't expect one person to be everything that you want. Like, maybe you have a boyfriend, and he's really into all the things you like to do, like going to the movies or playing whatever sport you like, or he's got that one particular superpower that you think is great... but he's really lousy in bed. If you two wanted to be monogamous, you'd have to decide if you wanted to put up with the lack of bed skills to keep all the fun stuff you two do together. If you were polygamous, you could have a second boyfriend, or girlfriend, that you do all the sexy stuff with, and then you'd have everything you want. You'd also have to balance two relationships though, and that can have its own troubles. Really, there's pros and cons to both sides, so I thought we could have a discussion about which option might be better." One that hopefully wouldn't lead to bloodshed or anything.

"Today I am giving you a topic," Josh said. "You will have twenty minutes to research it using the laptops available or your phones, and then you get to do five minutes in front of the class. Today's speech is a persuasive one, so make me feel something. Argue for or against the following statement: Donald Trump's hair is secretly a sentient alien come down to control the national election."

It's the only logical explanation Josh could come up with.

"And...go."
