Working a library shift the week after one where it had seen a lot of activity due to some crisis (which prompted Cosette to take a moment to tally up how many of those she'd gone through now, and be surprised by the total) always felt much slower than it really was.

It wasn't that she didn't have anything to do -- a couple of shelves in the business section were holding some kind of team-building exercise today, and they were doing trust falls.

Which meant that Cosette spent a lot of time picking up both the fallen books and their catching partners and putting them all back on the shelf, only to have to come back and do it all over again a few minutes later.

"I had better not come back next time to find you've broken your spines," she warned them at one point, only to be answered with another three or four soft thud sounds as the next group of books took their turn.

Advanced Driver's Ed, Thursday, First Period

Brian had been a little busy with his case in Baltimore lately, which was why this week the students were asked to actually report to the classroom they'd been assigned, where they'd find a TV set up.

"Little change of pace this week," Brian said. "I didn't have time to program your assignment, so today we're watching a movie. Don't worry, it's got cars in it." And singing!

Sneaking 101, Thursday

There was no Atton this week. Just Ezra. Also the Danger Shop was programmed to look like a movie theater. So if your immediate guess was that this week's session would be easy, you were absolutely one hundred percent correct.

"Hey," Ezra said, waving lazily from where he was slouched in a seat near the back. "Atton's not here, so I'm in charge. And that means we're giving the actual sneaking a pass this week. It's just as important to see what other people are doing sometimes, you know?"

He didn't know, really. He was just being lazy.

"So without further hassle, sit down and enjoy our feature presentation of the day."
