When it came to things like tricks or jokes, Thor usually left that sort of thing to his brother. However, when researching ideas for this week's class, this particular topic had come up... and he just couldn't resist using it. Just be glad he hadn't gone with any of the more, er, graphic urban legends out there involving sex.

"As I understand it, your education system- outside of places like Fandom- often leaves much to be desired when it comes to sexuality," he began without preamble. "As it's often not discussed openly in polite company, this leaves the topic open for all manner of tales to be whispered about. Today, we're going to discuss the legend of the woman who got pregnant after being shot by a bullet. Circulated and printed in many forms over the years, this particular tale is over 200 years old, having originated in an article written in jest. Unfortunately, many people did not pick up on the clearly jovial tone of the piece, and took it seriously, passing it on to others as a warning in good faith. Why do you think so many readers believed the article, even with the explanation in a subsequent issue that it was written in jest?"

There was no one in the classroom when the students arrived. No pony, no wolf, not even a baby alligator with an eerie thousand yard stare. There were no piles of cake decorating supplies, no fancifully-shaped cakes. The room was dark, and the board was empty.

Then Pinkie cake rushing in, pushing a large, old fashioned vacuum tube television on a tall cart with "Intrascholastic Media Center" written on it in white-out. "SORRYSORRYSORRYSORRYSORRY!" she cried, skidding on a banana peel* and nearly careening, cart and all, into the wall. "INTHEMIDDLEOFSOMETHINGWILLEXPLAINLATERFORNOWENJOYTHISFUNANDTOTALLYONSUBJECTTVSHOWANDSKETCHOUTANYIDEASITGIVESYOUFORNEXTTIME!"

She slammed a VHS tape into the VCR on the cart, centered it in front of the class, then went skidding back towards the door. She paused, muttered "oh, right", then flung bags of popcorn in such a way as to make one land neatly and cleanly atop every student's desk, then rushed back out the door, yelling "SORRYSORRYSORRYSORRYSORRY" all over again, and muttering something about mangabeys.

* no, we don't know where that came from

"Today we're working with someone many of you may be familiar with," Ghanima announced as the class assembled. "If, at any point, today's discussion becomes too much, please feel free to excuse yourselves."

Surprise, class!  Ghanima had, possibly, found the one topic that might dampen your hormones for the next hour.

"The inspiration for Bram Stoker's famous vampire, Count Dracula, Vlad the Impaler may not have actually drunk blood, but he was certainly one of the most bloodthirsty rulers to have ever stalked through the annals of history."

WARNING: Here there be Dracul. )

[OOC:  OCD UP.  NOTE: Today's class is behind the cut-tag for impalement, violence, and lots of people dying. NOT FLUFFY.]
