Library, Thursday (December 18)

wildandbraveWinter break or not, Cosette was still in the library today, still going about her work like the dedicated, book-loving little nerd that she was. Today's to-do list included patching up some torn pages -- no, these weren't the aviation books again, as they seemed to have behaved themselves since Mr. Constantine's lecture -- and some straightening up of the card catalog.
Mostly, though, to be honest, it involved a lot of her stopping to sit at one of the computers and browse through Wikipedia at random.
And that was how she ended up learning more about common houseflies than she had ever expected to know. It was more knowledge, so she wasn't objecting to this, really, except that now she felt vaguely guilty about all the flies whose heads she'd chopped off with that little toy knife when she was seven.
