iceolatedqueen.livejournal.comIt was an almost eerily quiet day in the library, today. Elsa was fine with the silence, of course. Libraries were supposed to be quiet as a general rule. But today? There was something kind of ominous about it, like maybe everything was gearing up for something big that she couldn't quite put her finger on.
That was ridiculous, of course. A library was just a library, even if it was a little more dusty today than usual. And a lightbulb must have burned out somewhere, though Elsa couldn't quite figure out which one. It was just, the library seemed a little more dim than usual.
In conclusion: Quiet. Just a perfectly normal, quiet day.
A book fell off a shelf nearby, and the quiet was broken with a startled shriek. And then Elsa spent the rest of her shift having a long talk with the books in the horror section about how that was not funny.
