Garik still wasn't entirely sure what this primitive planet's deal was, but he was determined to make the best of it, like the characters in his holos! Even if he probably wasn't going to get rescued by heroic stormtroopers any time soon.

And making the best of it apparently involved working at a library. Which wasn't like any library he'd ever heard of, full of books that weren't only printed, but printed on paper instead of flimsiplast. At least he'd managed to find some holos once he'd gotten the clearly ancient computer working.

"Suppose there's some holiday this week. Something about thanks and a dead bird," Jayne grunted out once the students had taken your seat. "I dunno. Anyway. This week we'll be reviewing how to use vehicles to make your getaway. To do that we're going to review this movie thing about two ròu yúchǔn zì jiāo xì zhàn1 who are trying to get home to say thanks and eat a dead bird."

That said, Jayne turned on the movie, turned off the light and took a nap at the back of the classroom.

Barry had come in early to the library today in order to get some work done. He was putting away a series of books on the history of Bollywood when he suddenly found himself transformed into a puppy. Again.

Truth be told, being a dog wasn't the hard part of being in the library. It was all the dog training books who kept trying to make him sit and heel.

"So, you guys have been really kickin' ass with this water filtration stuff," Reno said, once his class had gathered on the causeway for their portal. "Looks like we should be able to get the finishing touches on these things today, and then we can run tests on the system before letting the public loose on it, yo. So I ain't gonna distract you with more flowers - tempting, but I'll save that for another week - and I'll let you loose on what needs to be done to get this finished up. Have at it, Rookies. We'll check in with Cait Sith and the WRO next week, let 'em know where we stand, and we can be all done here in time for the end of the semester."

Yeah, Reno sounded pretty damn proud of you all. He'd have to keep this sort of thing in mind for the future, if he ever decided to teach around here again. (And let's face it, he probably would. He was kind of fond of this place.)
