Cara had told her students to meet her outside the preserve today, so the email that they were instead having class in the salle probably came as relief given teh weather. Especially since there weren't any racks of dresses waiting for them when they arrived.

"So we're going to have class we're we discuss what choices you might make and why. Time for another completely hypothetical game of 'What If?' )

Hey, you were in the Danger Shop today. Why? Because it was easier to get somebody to program some air hockey tables than it was to order three of them. Also, cheaper.

"You guys know the four classical elements, right? Fire, water, air, earth," Flash said. If that seemed like a fancy thing for him to mention, then you failed to consider what kinds of cartoons he watched when he was young. The fifth element was Heart and it got you a pet monkey. The power is yours. "Well, hockey has three of those: Ice hockey, floor hockey, and air hockey. Unfortunately, we don't have the insurance to play fire hockey." Did that joke work? DID IT?

"It's the middle of summer, so we're not playing ice hockey," Flash said. "And we don't really have enough people to play a good game of floor hockey. But air hockey is one-on-one. The basic idea is that you take the paddle, hit the puck, get it into the goal. The other hockeys are pretty much the same thing at a larger scale. And with fewer air jets."

"Think win-win." Cheryl looked out over the class, arms crossed. "Well, guess what, you all apparently thought lose-lose because seriously, we literally told you not to come back this week, and gave you a pass not to. What the actual, flaming fuck is wrong with all of you?"

She threw her hands up with a despairing yell, clearly aggravated. Possibly because someone had tampered with her mood stabilizers, and now they didn't...exactly do what they were supposed to.

nothing could go wrong here, nope nope )

The desk was back at the front of the room this week, with the students' chairs wherever they cared to put them. The food was covered, this time with identical silver lids.

When everyone was listening, Hannibal stood behind the table and spoke.

"While I like to think that food can truly be an art form, I am well aware that not everybody shares that opinion. Nor does everybody have that option. Art, preference, culture - many things affect how we think of food. One of those is economics. Availability." He looked at them all seriously. "Not everybody gets the best food. Not everybody gets food they can eat. Some people are lucky if they get anything."

He gestured at the dishes. "So. Each of you gets one of these. No peeking. When you each have your own, we'll uncover them all. If you don't like what you have, feel free to try to get something else. Barter, bargain, trade, give away, or steal, whatever you like, remembering that you may still need to see each other later. Consider this a hands-on experience."

[OOC: If you play and want to do it randomly, just click a dish below and see what you get. But feel free to check them all out and mod your results for the most interesting playing. :) ]
