Today the Danger Shop was set up as an outdoor field, with a line drawn in the grass at one end, and hay bales with targets pinned to them set up at the other. On Bond's side of the line, there were a number of bows as well as protective equipment.

"Good afternoon," Bond greeted them. "Now today we'll be looking at archery, the bow and arrow being one of the oldest forms of weapons developed by humans, though the style of bow you'll be using today is in fact a little over half a century old, chosen largely because it requires less force to hold at full draw. That said, those of you in the class already familiar with using a bow can use whichever style of bow they're most familiar with."

He then went on to explain the proper stance to use, as well as various methods of drawing and aiming a bow.

"One final not before you begin," Bond said. "I expect you to use similar precautions with these as you would with a firearm. I realise the films tend to show arrows as less than dangerous, but there's a reason the English won at Agincourt."

After the visit from the guy last week and the radio broadcasts, Sholeh was starting to pay attention to how things were getting weird. She was fine, obviously, and Zeela too, but other people were apparently getting all weird. Which explained Dr. Lecter turning into a woman and then a mobster.

Just in case people wanted to get a jump on researching, Sholeh pulled some books off the shelves. Most of her selections had to do with transformation magic, because that seemed to be the most prevalent, but interested people would find moddable other options on the low study tables. And if none of those seemed useful, well, there was an entire library full of information available to them.

Hopefully someone would know where to look soon. Sholeh was at a loss.

It was just Derek at the front of the class, which meant there wouldn't be glitter, shouting (unless you wanted to date someone whose family tries to kill you a lot and mirrors his tragic backstory too much), or excitement. So. Hold into your hats for a solo class.

Aw yeah.

"Pinkie had to go help with something back home." Derek had attempted to tune out the reasoning once the high pitched noises had started, but oh god his ears still hadn't recovered from it. "So today is going to be easy. We're making snowball cookies," he said, passing out the recipe.

"Because winter just won't end."

It almost made him long for California! Almost.

"Get started and you can eat whatever you manage to bake before the class is over."

When Mercy got to class she didn't see Doctor McCoy there, so she decided to go ahead with a lesson about some stuff Charles had made her learn when she was growing up.

"So... for many generations before Europeans came to this country, Native Americans were using herbs for healing. There are lots of different plants used for lots of different ailments.

For today, I thought we could check out this website and each come up with a couple of plants that might be useful. For example, mountain hemlock can be made into a tea to help colds and fevers. Just, you know, make sure it's not the poisonous kind of hemlock."

And yes, Charles had made her try it. Not the tastiest thing going.

"Okay, take a look, pair up with someone if you want, and see what you can find."
