It was just Dean in front of the class today, looking deeply annoyed by the lack his hulking brother's presence. But hey, on the plus side, he didn't look short today.

"So, my brother is a freakin' dog because this island is messed up," Dean said with a huff. "Because if that, class today is gonna be quick and painless. Topic is..."

He had to look down at a weathered old journal to pick something easy enough. "...tricksters. Usually they're some old god or Demi-god with a yen for punishing humans. Just desserts, it's called. All your dirty little secrets are fair game to 'em to pick the kind of death that's supposedly poetic."

Excuse Dean while he rolled his eyes.

"Ganking one... Uh. Don't? Stay the hell away from 'em. They're called gods for a reason, you know." Not that it stopped the Winchesters. "But, if you're forced into it, a wooden stake. Wood might need to be specific to the god, though. Also, they tend to cheat death, so don't be so convinced they've kicked the bucket."

Especially if they ended up being a freaking archangel.

"Yeah. So, you can hang out here if you want. It's air conditioned at least."

Best teacher ever. Look at that level of concern for your education.

Hannibal arranged everything on the desk carefully, then sat and waited for everyone to arrive.

Once they were there, he nodded. "We discussed last week what makes something food, why some things are or aren't. This week, we have another question. Why do we eat? )

Sholeh walked into a battle. On the long study tables, several fantasy books with dragons on the cover were keeping a romance novel hostage. Several other romance novels, all featuring handsome knights, were charging at the dragons, trying to knock them off the table. Sholeh fretted for a few moments, worried the books were doing each other harm, when she realized that once a dragon or a knight got knocked down, the books all paused to make sure that it was all right and occasionally give it a hand back up.

Realizing that it was all just playacting, Sholeh decided to get into the action, finding several books about famous treasures and weapons. When either a dragon or a knight performed particularly well, she would give them a reward, adding to the dragons' horde or the knights' supplies.

Sure, there were a stack of books to be put away, but this was far more fun to watch!

Well. The teacher was stuck in a locker or something, so as TA, Gert apparently had a duty to take over in Kitty's place. She had been expecting her duties to be more along the lines of passing out worksheets rather than playing authority figure for a class full of her peers, but a job was a job.

Anyway, she had instructions, so it wasn't like this required that much authoritative creativity. Though Gert did figure that in the absence of anyone else in charge, she could bring Old Lace to class. Aw yeah.

As for the room, the setup -- cushy seats facing a projector screen -- probably gave the students a good idea of what to expect from today's 'class.'

"So, the teacher's not here," Gert said. "On account of magic lockers. Fortunately your TA knows how to put a DVD in a player, so I guess we're watching the first hour of... this thing. Woo."

She held up the box so everyone could see the brightly colored cartoon characters on the cover, then pointed the remote at the screen and hit play.
