"You've had two weeks to prepare a persuasvie speech," Josh said, "and being such dedicated students, I'm sure you worked on them while we were cruising around in Turkey."

No he didn't, but they were still due today. If they weren't ready, well...that's why they'd also been working on their extemporaneous skills.

"Five minutes on something you're passionate about! Try to make us care about it too." He pointed to a random student. "You start."

"And--drum roll please--our press secretary for the day is Kate Bishop."

Kaidan had spent the past day or so suffering through a wonderful migraine. The pain had abated now, at least somewhat, but there was still a loud pounding behind his ears.

He'd learned to ignore that. Frankly, if the migraine didn't physically knock him on his ass, then he was doing pretty good.

"Okay," he said, "This is our last day doing autorepair. We're going to be doing what we've been doing, but... with kind of a twist." He gestured at the rows of cars in the Danger Shop. "Like last time, each of these cars has a defect," he said. "Not like last time, you're going to get an opponent. You and a classmate both pick a car for yourself. The first one of you to fix the car and finish this lap in time wins. Good luck."

Yeah, Lacrosse Club was meeting in the Danger Shop again, but maybe they should have gone to the park instead. See, Jackson was still kind of doing his best to repress last week and all his issues related to that, so his head wasn't really in getting a simulation going.

So even though he'd been trying to get the usual lacrosse field to show up, what he'd actually conjured up was... a locker room. Much like the one back in Beacon Hills, yes. There was the little alcove with the weights and stuff, too, though! So it wasn't like there was nothing to do even in this simulation.

Just ignore the glitch in the sim that occasionally put a shadowy (and a little Derek Hale-y) figure right on the edge of your vision only for it to be gone once you turned to look.

"Today? Work out, lift weights, whatever." Sometimes Jackson missed having an actual coach leading these things instead of him. (He'd never admit that to anyone.) "Staying in shape is part of lacrosse."
