It was probably best for the eysight of everyone involved not to notice how Bond was making his rather hideous cardigan work. But working it he was.

"Good afternoon, class," Bond greeted them. "We were going to have a final based on your ability to blend with the crowd and other stealth skills in order to complete vitally important feats of fake national security, but I'm afraid that today's island imposed clothing makes the point rather moot. So instead we'll be tackling a rather more mundane event requiring stealth and blending in, the office Christmas party."

"So enjoy yourselves and try to avoid those part guests who might make a mandatory evening of 'fun' even less bearable."

When class started, the lights turned out briefly before a spotlight started sweeping across the stage. An announcer (Yakko) announced, "It's time for that semesterly game show, LETS. TAKE. A FINAL! And here's the host of Let's Take a Final, Yakkooooooooooooooo WAAAAAAAAARNEEEEEEEEEER."

Yakko entered through the door as the spotlight caught him. Once he jogged to a podium in the front of the room, the lights turned back on and Yakko was ready to start.

"Welcome to Let's Take a Final, everyone! We have three rounds here to let you know whether or not you pass the class, so step right up!"

Any students who may have forgotten that today is The Big Day OMG would find a note helpfully tacked on the door directing them to The Boards!

The Danger Shop looked like a side street today as the students filed in. A side street in London, actually, but they'd probably realize that only once they'd make their way further into the simulation. And for now, Electroclash was still standing in front of them, effectively blocking their way.

She gave them a little wave. "Hiya, kidlets," she said. "Welcome to your final. And no, there won't be a test for you to fill out, because those are boring and I don't wanna be stuck grading those." She had much more important things to do with her life! "Instead, you get to put all that you've learned to good use here. Pick a goal, anything you might want to find in a new city. Bars, boring turist attractions, a cheap place to stay, whatever you want. Then go out and try to find that. Then report back on how you did. Simple, right?"

She hoped it was. This was the last session, she didn't want this to be complicated. For her, at least.

She shrugged, clearly hesitating a bit before adding something, although she was nonchalant about it. "And I guess I should mention you lot also weren't too bad to teach." For a given definition of teaching. "Okay, now get to it. Off you go."

So, this was Evan's last library shift before the winter break, and if Thanksgiving had gotten him down in the dumps, Christmas was shaping up to be way, way rougher. After all, at least for Thanksgiving there had been the looming threat of finals to study for as a distraction. Now, there was nothing. Just that stagnant feeling of nothing to do, while everyone was away visiting family and friends and he couldn't so much as call his own folks back in Kansas to see how they were doing.

It was little wonder, then, that he had brought Ozzy with him to the library that morning, and after letting the pup tucker himself out running around after mistletoe and barking whenever it shifted around on the ceiling to avoid him, curled up in his seat at the desk with the snoozing puppy and a book.

He was going to spend the rest of the day like that. Unless he needed to actually do work things, granted. But. For now? Puppy. Reading. Denial.

Yaaaay.

[OCD free since I'm posting this sucker from work, but open!]

Jackson looked even more smug than usual today. He'd been doing that a lot, lately, and would've exhibited it already last week, had he not been caught in a handwavy mild bout of fifties discoloration and insanity. Which he really didn't want to talk about. "It's our last session for the term," he said, once it looked like everyone who was going to show up had done so. "So we're just gonna play a game. Simple."

He nodded at their surroundings. The Danger Shop had finally been successfully converted into a lacrosse field. The opposing team looked normal, as did the simulated audience in the stands. This was contributing to Jackson's smugness, yeah.

... And okay, there were bunches of mistletoe appearing randomly around the field, but then that was happening all over the island anyway, so it didn't count as a fail on his part, which was all that mattered.

"Do your best."
