"Juana I de Castilla," Ghanima announced abruptly, once the students were seated.  "Queen of Castile and León, Queen of Aragon, Duchess of Burgundy, Duchess of Brabant, Limburg and Lothier, Duchess of Luxemburg, Margravine of Namur, Countess of Artois and Flanders, Countess of Charolais, Countess of Hainaut, Holland and Zeeland."

Madness is not just constrained to men )
"She is entombed in the Capilla Real of Granada, alongside her parents, her husband, and her nephew Miguel.  Between 1498 and 1507 she gave birth to six children, two emperors and four queens, all of whom carried to some degree her seeds of madness."

Hercules was all ready to give a great lecture this week, as the class gathered into the danger shop.

The setting was a pretty meadow, filled with flowers and butterflies and green, green grass. There were even furry woodland creatures frolicking about.

Then Hercules went to speak, and promptly turned into a pug dog.

...enjoy a teacherless class in a pretty meadow.

[ooc: Sorry! Various factors = lame class.]

Cindy had left Rio early after an emergency text from Bigby and hadn't returned yet. The narration would go on to explain the nature of said emergency, but it was all very hush-hush and secret. As the narration is refusing to indulge in cliches such as 'I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you,' unfortunately all details would have to remain undisclosed.

Of course, because Cindy hadn't expected to get called away at all, never mind for so long, there wasn't even an appropriate movie picked out for today. Just a sign, hung by a grouchy Fosse, that read Class canceled. Sorry. Sign in and head back. and a roster on the door.

The narration assures you that, wherever Cindy was, she was killing a lot of people working very hard.

[Sorry for late & lame class. Remicaid day.]

"So, you've all been to Rio!"

Jeff hadn't. You could tell.

"All warm and full of people and beaches and bikinis..." he trailed off briefly, his eyes glazing over. "... er." Anyway. "Bikinis can be dangerous, though," he quickly interjected. "That's why there's been films about Rio. It's all about... dangerous bikinis." Or something.

"And birds," Jamie said with a nod. "Ones that skateboard. Which have less to do with bikinis but I hear one of them was nominated for something."

"Skateboarding birds?" Jeff said, squinting at Jamie. "Jamie, that sounds a bit silly."

Yes, Jeff was saying this.

"Well I don't think this one ever learned to fly," Jamie said frowning in turn. "And was kidnapped. Or something. I forget."

Quite possibly because Jamie only flipped by the movie on his way to a Baywatch marathon.

Well, who could blame him for that? "How did that get Oscar nominated?" Jeff said. "Now I sort of want to know. I mean, if it's got birds in it..."

"Well I just happen to have a copy of it right here?" Jamie said holding up the DVD. "Shall we force our students to watch it and critique it?"

Jeff looked thoughtful for like... two seconds.

Then he shrugged. "Works for me."
