therewaslifeHe woke up on the floor behind the desk. His head, his beautiful head, was pounding and his vision was blurry. Blinking to clear his vision, he glanced around and didn't recognize his surroundings. The carpet was clean and it was quiet. Where was he? How had he gotten there?
Gingerly getting to his feet, he used the circulation desk for support. He was in...was he in a library? He desperately tried to get his mind to work but where there had once been vivid, vibrant memories, there were blank spots. There were massive, massive blank spots.
"Hello?" he called out, trying not to sound desperate and scared. "Is anything there? Where am I?"
There was no answer. He held a hand up to his head, pressing his palm against his temple. The headache was awful and painful. It wasn't helping him remember a thing about himself. He was just...a blank slate.
"Who am I?"
No one answered.
