The Danger Shop was a darkened, empty parking lot today. Well, mostly empty. There were several ramps of various size lined up, along with several sets of pads, helmets, and white jumpsuits. It probably wasn't tough to see where this was going. It was probably easier when Dick rode up to them on a motorcycle, took his helmet off, and started talking.

"Evel Knieval was probably the best known daredevil in the world. If you put something between two ramps and gave him money, he would probably try to jump over it, whether that thing was animals, cars, buses, trucks, or the Snake River Canyon. He destroyed his body several times during his career, but this was still a man who made a living jumping over things on a motorcycle pretty much every week during the 70's."

"There's no real trick to motorcycle jumps. Really, it's all about staying on a good line with the ramp and going fast enough to get the needed air. And more than anything, it's about being absolutely convinced that you're not going to crash horribly, sending you to the hospital for weeks if you're lucky. If you don't have that faith, you should probably stop before you get near the ramp."

"The shop's been programmed to make riding the motorcycles easy for you, so throw on your jumpsuits, pads, and helmets, hop on your bike, and start jumping."

And with that, Dick put his helmet back on, peeled off on his bike, and ended up jumping ten soda trucks. Oh, Danger Shop....

"Hey guys," Sam said, once everyone had arrived. The computers were off today, and Sam was at the front of the room with a cardboard box next to him on the desk. "I'm really glad to see you all after missing you last week, and I'm really glad you're all okay." At least until the next thing came around.

"I know that so far we've been talking about computers as the things in front of us, but these days, computers are a lot more than just the machines we have here. Laptops and tablets and even phones can do a lot of the things computers can do, and there have been handheld computer games for quite a while."

Reaching into the box, Sam pulled out a keychain-sized toy. "This is a virtual pet. Just like a real pet, you have to feed it, clean up after it, and play with it to keep it happy. If you don't keep it happy, well, you lose, and you have to start over again with a new pet. I'm going to pass the box around, and I want you all to take one. Play around with it to see how it works, and try to go through as few pets as possible before we meet again next week."

Hercules figured after the very dreadful and serious events of last week, he needed to do something fun and lighthearted for the class today. So, they met in the Danger Shop, which appeared to be programmed into a small, idyllic 1950's neighborhood. Pastel painted houses formed into a circle around a fountain, each house with a tree in their front yard.

And each tree held two mewling, adorable kittens, and at the base of each tree were two adorable kids unable to get their adorable kittens out of the tree.

"Heroism comes in many forms, as I have said. All of you showed different kinds this past week. Today we will explore the more human kind of heroism, helping the helpless. These poor children cannot get their kitties out of their trees. It is your duty to help them, as the firefighters are off... fighting fires. Once all the kittens are rescued, I will have a special surprise at the end." He clapped his hands together. "Get to it!"

The library had books. It had shelves. But as of today, at least, it did not have a Wesley.

Which was unfortunate, granted, because his presence contributed quite a lot to the atmosphere of the library. Something to do with that whole Watcher thing. But the library was still functional, and open for business should people want to read or study.

If they didn't want to read or study, this was probably the wrong place to be anyway.

While Jaime wasn't really a huge fan of TAing for Guy, he had found himself looking forward to it throughout the week if only for the routine of it all. Finding the man to be aggravating and arrogant was nice and familiar.

Except that Guy didn't seem to be here yet.

And it was five minutes into the period.

That meant that Jaime had to come up with something, didn't it? Um... what to do, what to do... Oh! He could probably find some of those rubber balls from the first session! The red ones.

Um...

"Hey," he called, after a moment. "Anyone know where the dodge balls are?"
