"There was a hedge in my way," the Doctor explained. "That's why I wasn't here. I understand there were hedges in your way too and yours and so on. I don't like hedges." That was all there was to say about that. "Don't think this gets you out of your final. I hope you all remembered to wear sensible shoes. You won't be running today, but it's important to get into good habits if you're going to be dealing with this planet on a regular basis. Lots of running usually. Shoes should be sensible." It was reasonable to assume that the Doctor was a bit 'off' today. "You, you aaaaand you," he said, pointing to three students, "stay here and answer your final question. It's a one on one verbal exam. The rest of you go play in the amusement park. Stay away from the hot dogs. I didn't program them quite right." They would taste like pungent cheese. "Make sure you wander back out here before the hour is up to answer your question."

He opened the doors to reveal an amusement park with a Ferris wheel, dodgems, roller coaster and assorted other rides, games and holographic food stands.

"Welcome back, class," said Angua as the hour started. "Glad to see last week's ordeal finished and out of the way just in time for you all to take your exams. I was thinking of having you all take a written test to conclude this semester, but you've got a certain handful of classmates to thank for the reason I went with a practical instead."

She assumed that would cause the students to be grateful toward those people; anyone who honestly would rather do a written exam was someone that Angua was going to have trouble understanding ever.

And then there was lecturing. )

"Unlike some of the other teachers here, I still expect you to complete a final examination this week," Anakin said as he shut the door and began passing out paperwork. "I will provide you with a series of scenarios. You write down which option you would pick, and why. Since this is Ethics, there are no black and white absolutely correct answers to anything. What matters to me is that you have some sort of reason for your choice. If your logic is faulty or snide or clearly half-assed, that's when I will become...unhappy."

And when he was unhappy, final grades reflected it. He'd come a long way--he used to kill people when he was unhappy...

With his final examinations both today and tomorrow, William was taking advantage of the fact that he worked in a library to get some last minute studying in.

...Even if he kept getting distracted every fifteen minutes or so as some random topic bearing more thorough investigation would pop up referenced in his notes, and he'd have to go find out all about it.

When the students arrived to class today, they would find the room missing its usual television and VCR, but with all the usual popcorn and snacks for the students to share.

"Good afternoon," Ziva said, smiling at everyone. "We have come to the end of the term, and I hope that you all have enjoyed our class as much as I have enjoyed having you here. Having a written final did not make much sense to me, so instead, I have a discussion question for you to answer: If you were going to make a film that you wanted to be considered a classic, what kind of film would you make?"

Oh, those poor students, having to think so hard for her. Hopefully, they wouldn't hurt anything in the process.

Summer had a small array of snacks and drinks laid out for her students. It was their last class, after all.

"I've very happy to see you all back safe and sound," Summer began, once her students settled in. "This is the last class of the term and it was supposed to be your final exam. But, given last week's circumstances, we'll forgo the exam."

She thought it only fair.

"Instead, I'd like you to tell me which shipwreck interested you the most over the course of this semester. And help yourself to the snacks and drinks. You all were a wonderful class. I hope to see you all again in future classes."
