"Good afternoon," Ziva said, once it seemed like everyone had arrived to class. "As you might have noticed from the films we have watched so far, the way that 'classic film' is defined can be vastly different depending on the person you ask. We have had award-winning films and art films and blockbuster films, and all of them can be considered 'classics.'

"Today, we will be continuing in a similar vein as last week. It is entirely possible that you have all seen this film at least once, and I would not be surprised if some of you have seen it multiple times. There are some films that we stop and watch every time they happen to be on the television, no matter what we are doing, no matter how far into the film we arrive, and no matter how many times we have already seen it. I believe these movies should be considered classics as well. You are, of course, certainly allowed to disagree with me, but I believe you will enjoy this movie even if you do."

And with that, Ziva turned on Space Battles - A New Start of course. Ziva might not know a lot about film, but she did have taste.

Today, William intended to use his time at the desk to do a bit more research into the changes in Hallowe'en traditions that had occured in the last hundred and thirty-odd years.

He gave the coffee machine a considering look before giving a slight shrug and turning it on, letting the coffee percolate. William had his usual tea, so he wasn't going to drink it, but Mr. DeTamble would likely appreciate it.

The class was meeting in the Danger Shop once more, where they'd find the scene of Ankh-Morpork again, growing increasingly familiar. This time, however, the air was as crowded as the streets, as people called out wares and sermons and things you were better off politely ignoring.

"Welcome back, you guys," Angua called, trying to herd the flock of students into on area so she didn't have to shout too much. "Come on over here for a moment before we get started!"

"Oh, one more thing," said Angua, before going to open the door again, "whatever you do, don't eat the sausages."

"I hope everyone had a great homecoming!" Ariel gushed once everyone was gathered and ready for singing and dancing. "And this weekend is Halloween, too! I swear, there's definitely no lack of exciting things going on here, is there? You can see I got us all some candy to enjoy, and I was thinking that, today, we could either sing songs about how our homecomings went or something spooooky for Halloween!"

"We should also spend some time working on our concert pieces, but let's do the fun stuff first!"

Summer stood in the front of the room, a bowl of Halloween candy next to her. She loved that holiday and today's lesson gave her an excuse to hand some out.

As the students took their seats, they'd find a small bag of chocolate coins on their desks. Once the students settled in, Summer started her lecture.

"Today, we're discussing the S.S. Central America. The Central America was a United States steamship that contained 30,000 pounds of gold and several passengers. In September 1857, the Central America ran into a hurricane off the coast of the Carolinas going from the Panamanian city of Colon to New York City," she explained. "The majority of the people and gold on board were products of the California Gold Rush. The ship was old and sank suddenly in the storm. Some 400 passengers died and all of the gold was lost. Due to the loss of such a large quantity of gold, the shipwreck sparked the economic Panic of 1857 over gold shortage fears."

She was fairly certain that would stay in the history books for a long time.

"The wreck was lost for one hundred and thirty-one years, finally discovered in 1987 and the gold recovered was worth an estimated $100-$150 million." A large sum, for sure.

"I hope you all have a great weekend and an exciting Halloween. If you'd like some more candy, feel free to take some at the end of class." She was more than happy to let her students take as much or as little as they wanted.
