"Good afternoon, class," said Farnsworth, standing in the front of the class as usual and wondering where everyone was. Not that he minded. He always felt that the fewer, the better. "Today we're going to be talking about that astonomical anomoly commonly called a Void."

No, Farnsworth had no idea he was being topical. )

Finally, finally, he finished, and yet, somehow, there was still more time left in class. That, thankfully, was another subject on the relativity of time, especially when stuck in a boring class with a crazy professor. For now, he clapped his hands together and turned to his shrunken class with a serene, gassy sort of smile. "What I have today for you is a packet to work these equations and to see what results you get for where the proposed portal will end up. If I could get my TA to come up and pass them out, please."

Pause. Waiting. Still smiling.

"Lindsay?"

Waaaaiting.

"Bueller?"

Still nothing, and Farnsworth sighed, shaking his head. "Probably out back under the bleachers toking a fattie. Anyway, get up her and get your homework and get to work."

This was the class when Faith usually put her students through hell in order to see if they were learning what she had been blabbering so far, but considering most of them -if not all- had gone through hell already -or several kinds of hell, mind you-, she decided they deserved to chill a little.

So as they entered the Danger Shop they would find themselves in a very particular room.

"Today, you rest. Next Thursday...I'll beat the crap out of you."

It sounded like a fair deal.

Always, after a crisis, came the inevitable clean-up. Book to be shelved, abandoned papers to be recycled, and study tables to be washed down.

And since Mr. DeTamble wasn't here, that meant Anemone could tackle his office, too. The files about invasions could be put away, a new file made for the latest one, and the whole library needed some wood polish and dusting.

The library was open, but if you show up, you'll be conscripted to work.

Both 21 and 24 looked surly as the students filed into the classroom today. Being kept up all night by insect-renditions of Celine Dion's Greatest Hits did not for happy teachers make.

"Today, we're talking about vengeance!" 24 bellowed as soon as everyone had sat down. "Not the stupid, easy vengeance, like killing your enemy's entire family and burning his home to he ground. That's crap. Takes no imagination. There's no elegance." Though if he could get his hands on the insect colony that started all this...

"When it comes to arching, revenge is a delicate flower, not some brutal attack," 21 added. "Deciding on the appropriate form of vengeance requires skill and dedication, plus an imagination and a hefty dose of mad science if you have it. For example? Sending bugs into someone's apartment to sing Celine Dion songs all night? Brilliant and horrifying at once. It plays on our butterfly theme, while engaging in terror tactics. By attacking us in our home, our unknown assailant proves he can reach us anywhere, while depriving us of much-needed sleep, leaving us less capable of coming up with our own plans of retaliation."

"Truly." 24 shook his head solemnly. "Our unknown enemy is a master at the game."

Or simply an island. Whatever.

"So, today, you're going to help us build a better vengeance scenario, okay? Now let's get to work brainstorming."

Alex was staying in the cabins. Because of bugs. Worse ones than the cockroaches in NYC. Alex did not want to talk about it.
