Griff felt absurdly lucky that his ABANDONMENT ISSUES, DEAD PARENTS, and MURDERER luggage had stayed in his room yesterday where he'd piled them on the bed and covered them with a sheet before ditching out for class and things that were less painful to look at.

A stint in the library was like a vacation on hot, muggy days like present. Griff was content to hole up at the desk with his file of news clippings and draw pictures of the men he'd seen at Sam's house.
