Hannibal was back at the front of the class again, looking relaxed and pleased that he was both teaching and that today was Friday.

"Hey guys, Professor Dukes is MIA again today so you've got me." Weren't they lucky? "Anyway, he left some lesson plans and it looks like we get to play video games with a physical fitness bent. We're going to be playing Wii Boxing."

He gestured to the video game systems that were set up. "The Wii's not just anyone video game system since it's motion controlled and all. It'll give you a pretty damn good workout. Let's see who's a champ in the ring and who's a chuuuuuuuuuump."

Obviously, he thought he'd be kicking ass. Oh, if only. "So, get to it and work up a sweat!"

Ahhh, Minsc was starting to like this whole same course deal. It made lesson planning so much easier! This was exceptionally good news when it was a lesson he so very much enjoyed giving, and he looked forward to the follow up of today's particular topic. Ohhhh, the follow up was good!

And it started out with a resounding call of, "Bad guys! We all have them; if you don't think you have them, then you'll probably find out just how wrong you are when you are lying in your bed with a sword sticking out of your chest or a hatchet in your head and wondering, 'how did this get here?'

"As protectors of goodness, a ranger typically focuses a great deal of his energies into being very good at destroying one particular type of bad-doer, especially if they are common to marauding their homes! This allows you to gain a bonus to your roll strike them even better, though the careful study of what makes that creature tick...and stop ticking! We not only specialize on weapons, but also on enemies! Knowing is half the battle!"

"Here is a very nice list of common enemies favoured by rangers in my homeland of Faerûn! Look them over, pick one that you might be interested in choosing for your favoured enemy, and then spend the next week studying that enemy! Because that is the key! To know a bad guy is to know it's weaknesses and that is how a ranger gets bonus rolls fights them better! Research well! Whatever you pick, you will be going up against next week!"

"And, should there be a favoured enemy that you have already from your homeworld, you are welcome to pick one of those, too, especially if it will be more helpful to you in buttkicking later! Some of you who have taken the class before, please stick with the same enemy and try to find out more about them."

"Today, we will talk." He said it in a simple way that made it clear that a talking class was rare. "I would like a discussion, please, about what sorts of things that you think you should be looking for! What can we learn about our enemies to help us fight them better? And after we have come up with that, you are free to practise your weapons or spar, so let us get done with the chit-chat quick and smartly so we can have some fun!"

Glinda had a stereo system set up, along with iced coffees and raspberry cheesecake brownies. "Welcome back, everyone," she said, cheerily. "Today, we are going to be discussing music and mood." She began walking around the students, while continuing on.

"In the movies and theater not that I would know anything about that last one, music is vital. When a character is not speaking, music sets the tone for the scene. In horror films, it sometimes acts as a warning to the audience- beware, for the killer is about to strike!" She leaped at the nearest student, to give them a jump, and then laughed. "In other spots, it can establish the tone of a location." She paused. "For your assignment today, you are going to listen to three pieces and write down the three feelings or emotions that you experienced while listening. After everyone is done, we will discuss the pieces, and why one person may have felt one way while another felt completely different." She tapped her staff on the ground and headphones appeared in front of everyone. "Let's begin."

Fiona wasn't exactly pleased that Professor Reid had left her with class this week, but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle. She could even handle it with aplomb considering what she knew was coming up later in the day; despite her nervousness, she was very much looking forward to her afternoon. And the class should be good practice for that!

"Hello," she said, glancing around the room, "Professor Reid is in the midst of moving so he asked me to cover 'class' today. We're playing mancala," and she gestured to all of the little wooden boards left open for the students to use.

"The rules are on the handouts here," and she pointed to a stack at the front of the class, "and there's another one with a history of the game here, though for just a little tidbit, I'll share that the word 'mancala' comes from the Arabic word naqala, which is 'to move'. So. You'll see how that works as we play."

Cue fleeing from the front of the class.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, there will be no class today. Instead, I present to you, two questions.

1: Getting there is half the fun, true or false?
2: King's Dominion (Movie and TV themed rides), or Busch Gardens (rides and attractions based on the nations of Europe), which would you prefer?

[OOC: I fail. RL got in the way, figured this was better than posting a very late class.]
