BWI Airport, Portalocity Port, Saturday Morning

The room had a sign on the inside wall across from the door saying ‘Fandom High’. This was the room that she’d been directed to, when she’d asked where the shuttle pick-up was. This was where she was supposed to be. And yet, she was the first one into the room.

How? Maron rocked idly back on her feet, suitcase in a death-grip, duffel bags on the nearest chair, and tried to figure out if her flight all the way from Japan had landed her in Maryland far far too early. Or what if she was late?

She dug out her flight itinerary, the papers crumpled after the trip, and confirmed that no she wasn’t late. Okay. Okay, so that meant waiting! She could do waiting. Even if she was in a strange country, all by herself, and wishing Finn had been able to come along. But Finn had to keep working so she could become a full angel, and it was silly to need company! She could wait on her own. So waiting it was.

And in America! Another bounce, this one a little less nervous, at the thought. So far, America wasn’t bad. (For all that America was an empty room with windows, as of yet.) It couldn’t be bad, Maron decided, letting excitement at being in America overpower her worry as she peeked out the windows, after all, America had super cute boys.

Even excited, Maron hoped someone else showed up soon. It was a rather big room for just one girl, and surely she wasn’t the only one taking the shuttle? That would be embarrassing.
