"Bonjour," Jean-Paul said. "Today, you will learn how to discuss your nationalities and your professions in French. I will give you a hint, you are all students. If your nationality is not on your handout, please ask me for help. Then split up into pairs and hold a short discussion. There are examples in your handouts. Go to it."

Bridge makes it to the library on time, though he's rubbing his eyes a bit sleepily. Who knew that two birds and a miniature squid could make so much noise all night?

Wilson was leaning back against his desk, arms crossed as he watched the kids come in and settle down in their seats. He was wearing a slightly rueful expression, which usually meant that while he regretted something he was about to do…he was going to do it anyway.

“Good morning.” He said to the group. “Well, I’m afraid that strange weekends in Fandom do not get you a reprieve from announced quizzes. So, I hope that any of you affected by this past weekend’s…err…uniqueness, had a chance to study before Saturday. Okay, everybody take out a pen and a piece of paper, the questions will be up on the overhead.”

While the students got out their supplies, Wilson walked to the overhead and set the film with the quiz on the glass.

“You have fifteen minutes for this quiz. Points will be calculated on how complete your answers are so even if you don’t know all the parts of a question, still try.” [ooc: Or handwavey if you need to. :)]

Richie was in study hall, ready to go, before first period started. He had an obscenely large coffee, and various paperwork.

When the class arrived at the Danger Shop, they found John frowning at the room's remote as he hit several buttons, muttering about demons and possessed computer systems. Finally, with one last frown he put it aside and addressed the class.

"Good morning," he said. "It seems like the Danger Shop's projectors are being a little cranky, but we'll muddle through as best we can.

"Last week we talked about common dangers of Fandom that can pop up unnannounced at any time. This week, we'll be focusing on special events. Now not every special event ends in an invasion -- most of them run more or less smoothly and without incident. But some of them have more... exciting conclusions that were originally planned.

"Take last May's graduation." John pressed several buttons on the remote, his frown deepening when nothing happened but a slight whine. He sighed. "Which apparently we will be discussing without visuals. During the graduation ceremony, aliens came down and blew up the school. Yes, aliens. Yes, I know how far fetched that sounds. Welcome to Fandom. Luckily, the graduating seniors were able to drive them off, and the summer was spent rebuilding the school.

"But since the Danger Shop doesn't seem to want to relive that particular trauma, we'll move on to our inclass activity today." He hit a few more buttons on the remote and breathed a sigh of relief when the room changed into a gokart track. "Two summers ago one of the special events they had was a gokart race. As happens in Fandom, there were some uninvited guests." Shadows flew by overhead and if the students looked up they would see brightly covered, slightly quivery dragons heading for them.

"Jello dragons," John said with a grin. "They're attacking the gokart race and you have to repel them by any means." His grin turned wolfish. "Have fun."

There was a series of very colorful expletives guiding Kerrigan into the Danger Shop this morning as she paced in a few minutes late. As far as she was concerned, this was a major crime against all things right with the world, but then so was the absence of a syllabus--

"Oh, to hell with it," she muttered, pressing two fingers to her forehead. "Hey, class. Today, we deal with defensive installations. As you can see, the sim's set up in your typical Badlands danger area. Your mission for today, and I don't care if you want to take it or not, is to find a partner and set yourself up a suitable bunker area to defend the base behind you. We'll look into the theoreticals next week."

Wait. Next week. Aly. Oh, crap. "...We'll look into the theoreticals two weeks from now. Right now, I'm just curious to see how many of you make it out alive." Beat. "Thank you, Booth."

She moved out of sight. Probably in the general direction of the coffee machine.

Arashi waited until everyone was inside and seated before he started speaking. “So, today we’re going to work on the topography and geography of your countries. Decide what geographical features you want your country to have, where important cities are, roads and etc.”

“Bear in mind that climate can be affected by geography and such, so you’ll want to think over were you put things. Also, if you’re adding a mountain range or a river try talking with your neighboring countries to see if it’s something that crosses your borders. Now you’re not limited to mountains and rivers, there are lakes, plateaus, plains, swamps, forests, giant holes in the ground, caves, lagoons, volcanoes, beaches. Whatever you guys can think of. Have fun with it, since that’s the point of designing your own counties, we’ll get into the serious stuff later.”

There might have been a sly smirk on his face, but that had nothing to do with the fact that it was his birthday and that he felt confident that he'd kept the fact from people.
