In the Command Center, Very Very Early on Sunday Morning.
Sunday, April 16th, 2006 09:19 amWith the wiring and electronics in the Command Center finally repaired and in full working order again, Zordon is multitasking. In between commands in his game of Starcross, he's flipping through the various video feeds of campus just to see if anything is going on so far on this quiet Easter Sunday.
(Not that Zordon celebrates Easter himself; twelve millennia of life leaves one with too many holidays to keep track of, much less celebrate. Regardless, when the entire office staff takes off early for the weekend and church bells are making chocolate eggs rain from the sky, it's hard not to notice, really.)
One of the feeds catches his attention as he cycles through, and he immediately jumps back to it. It's funny how even an entity who hasn't had a body in thousands of years has to fight off the instinctive urge to stiffen in alarm at certain sights, but that's exactly what Zordon does when he sees the horde of weetinybunnies amassed just outside the dorm lobby. There's a futile instinctive desire to twitch as well, as Zordon really doesn't care to relive the experience of seeing a teeming mass of fluffiness clinging to the base of his tube.
The initial alarm is quickly dispelled, however, once Zordon realizes that the weetinybunnies are not sufficiently unencumbered to hug anyone, at least not yet.
For every single weetinybunny is vibrating in place with sheer exuberance, its teeny nose and whiskers twitching, its minuscule eyes glittering eagerly -- and in each weetinybunny's front paws is a brightly coloredunique and individual like snowflakes, yo weetiny Easter egg.
A quick check of the school building's feed reveals the same thing, as does the feed that gives him a quick overview of the town. There are weetinybunnies bearing Easter gifts everywhere. Even Zordon can't help but think how cute this is, so around eight o'clock in the morning, once people show signs of stirring, he toggles on the PA system and makes a quick announcement.
"Good morning and Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it. Everyone, please watch your step this morning and attempt to not step on the weetiny Easter eggs that may be hidden anywhere on campus or in town today -- or on the bunnies carrying them. Please also watch your heads, and try not to get concussed by the considerably larger chocolate eggs falling from the sky. Thank you, and have a bunny-ful, eggs-cellent day."
