Welcome to the first meeting of Home Economics 101. I brought cookies, grab one and have a seat.

I have completed your syllabus, here is a copy for each of you. Please review it and I can address any concerns you may have.

I hope you all have done the reading. Today, we will be working with the idea of being thrifty and resourceful in the home.

Your class assignment is as follows: Please construct your own lemonade stand and when you sign in, write a quick report on how you faired.

( Also, please consult the roster and make sure you are on my list. )

I know there were a few students who were considering auditing for a while, that's okay. Let me know when you decide, and if anyone wants to sign up for class I am still accepting students until next week.
