Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening
The P.A. crackles to life.
"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."
Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.
[ooc: Huzzah! Townies can come to this post for their safety and warmth! Screening is disabled! Students and Teachers are welcome to organize something... but as it's an emergency, we hath not actually organized the refugee effort! Organize! Be Swift! But above all, interact and have fun!]

DISTRIBUTION
There are blankets, pillows, some towels, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo...
Food is at another table (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/570218.html?thread=26738282#t26738282) but you can get plastic cups just for water here. There are some band-aids, but medical attention and first aid is to the left (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/570218.html?thread=26741354#t26741354).
Step up if you need something, and Kiki can check for other things that have been brought in.

Luckily, both were hardy beings, though Zhaan seemed to order the snow out of her way and Batou just walked over it. The snow, for its part, cowered a little.

Once they'd reached the gym, Zhaan quickly spotted an unused place on the floor and walked towards it, nodding to anyone that might glance at them. With care, she helped Batou settle Gabriel on the floor, one hand ruffling the dog's ears before she glanced around again.
"I believe we'll be fine for the night."
The large man grunted, and plopped down.
Zhaan smiled and handed him the blanket before gracefully folding herself into a simple cross-legged position. "Get some rest. I'll keep her from wandering."
"Fine." Without elaborating on his plans, Batou rolled onto his side, pulling the blanket over his head, and shut his brain off.
Settling herself a little more, Zhaan slipped into a light trance, halfway between sleep and a state of wakefulness.
[ooc: Batou god-modded with permission, as Batou is going to bed since he has to work in the morning. If anyone feels the need to pet the dog, feel free, she doesn't bite. I'll be around a little.]
