Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening

The P.A. crackles to life.

"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."

Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.

"Furball ran off?" Walter made a face, but decided that he and Nadia were friends, so it didn't matter whether he had a grudge against her cat. "If you cannot find him before the storm lets up, I can try to get Pup to help track him. Hellhounds have good noses."

Nadia nodded, glad Walter didn't seem interested in causing Furball any actual damage. Unless he wanted Pup to eat him. Which was a possibility. "Thanks. I'm kinda hoping he's just hiding in the basement, or the vents or something, but I've looked everywhere."

"I hope so. Let me know if you need help, though. After the emergency is over."

Walter had soup to make, though. "Did I hear that they brought Carita's here?" If anyone would know, it would be Nadia.

Nadia shrugged. "I think I saw Lorne talking to Mac when I came in, so maybe they converted the shop. I really know for sure, though."

"I suppose it does not matter. I need to get back to cooking anyway. Drop by and dinner will be on me."

He frowned.

This was Nadia.

"Not literally."

Nadia snapped her fingers with an aw, shucks expression. "I have to go put up more posters. I might take you up on that dinner, though. Bye!"
