Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening

The P.A. crackles to life.

"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."

Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.

"What do you need?" Jarod asked, seriously.

"Somebody to help with the cat herding," Tommy said. "I want people with real needs in one corner, people with non-urgent needs somewhere far away from me, and everybody else can have food or sign karaoke. God help them."

"I can do that," he nodded. "Have we seen anyone with real needs yet?"

"There's a kid over there who's entirely green but I don't think there's anything we can do about that."

Jarod glanced over there. "Probably not. I do wonder if he's related to my boss, though."

"You work for Liberace over there?" Tommy asked, pointing at Lorne.

"Mondays and Wednesdays, but isn't Liberace dead? And I didn't think he was green." Jarod thought about that. "Although, maybe that was just stage makeup."

Tommy smirked. "If he wasn't green before, I bet he is now."

Jarod started laughing. "Good point. Or at least a greenish gray."

"For all we know scratching at the lid of the coffin too." Reminded, Tommy frowned. "Shit. You don't think we've got vampires in here do you?"

Jarod took a quick look around. "I don't know for sure, but the two I've met aren't here. At least that's something."

"I'm not seeing Ricky Martin," Tommy said, thinking of Angel. "Which two do you know?"

"Darla and Drusilla. Small blonde and a willowy brunette. The brunette is probably more dangerous, and definitely crazy."

"Sounds like my ex," Tommy said. He snapped his fingers. "Those the two whose pictures are all over town?"

"Those would be the ones. The brunette's British, too. And don't meet her eyes," he frowned, "though I can't tell you why not."

"She's British, kid," Tommy said. "That's reason enough right there."

"Er...I've never met anyone British, other than Drusilla. But I don't think most British people suck the blood out of their victims."

"Says you."

"I thought I just did."
