Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening

The P.A. crackles to life.

"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."

Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.

[ooc: Huzzah! Townies can come to this post for their safety and warmth! Screening is disabled! Students and Teachers are welcome to organize something... but as it's an emergency, we hath not actually organized the refugee effort! Organize! Be Swift! But above all, interact and have fun!]

"I have an empty bed in my room, that's always open to any girl who would like it. I'd be happy to offer it."

Maia grinned "Hey Kiki thats great." Maia made a note "We're trying to put students with students type thing and I will make sure you get a girl. I think maybe if we need to we can shift people around and then have an entirely empty dorm room for adults to sleep in if we get masses of people coming in that don't want to sleep in the gym. Thank you so much for offering a bed that is great. How have you been?"

"No problem," Kiki answers, "although I don't have a problem sharing with an adult, if it helps you with the logistics. I've been okay - I'm a little sorry about the storm, though; I had plans to go to Caritas tonight. I know it's set up now in the Danger Shop, but - I feel like I should be here and helping, rather than off skylarking about. It's great that you're organising this - I wish I could do more to help."

"Oh Kiki, just signing up to offer a bed is help enough sweetie. Its really very caring of you to do it, if you really want to help though I know they are setting up the food or you could maybe be in charge of distributing blankets and pillows and things I don't think we have anyone doing that."


((OOC: i really don't think there is a thread for distribution if you wanted to set that up, I think there is just the dropoff thread. ))
