Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening

The P.A. crackles to life.

"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."

Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.

[ooc: Huzzah! Townies can come to this post for their safety and warmth! Screening is disabled! Students and Teachers are welcome to organize something... but as it's an emergency, we hath not actually organized the refugee effort! Organize! Be Swift! But above all, interact and have fun!]

"I'm the speech teacher and general source of fear for my kids. I'm a pussycat though." She offers her hand as she looks around the gym. "You know if there's any plan, or are we just packing people in and hoping for the best?"

"We're trying to get a flow going," Tommy said. "Oh Canada over there was saying we should get some music going. We should also make sure everybody's got something to eat. People bitch more when they're hungry."

She blinks slowly at him, debating whether or not to call him on his language. "People tend to complain when they have needs, Mr. Gavin. Music, I can handle. I have a collection in my office. Food..." she looks around, "...it looks like that guy has it covered." she says, gesturing to Alfred. "I'll be back with music, Mr. Gavin...do you have a preference? Somehow I'm thinking all the punk I brought in for my unit this week isn't quite going to work for crowd control."
