Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening

The P.A. crackles to life.

"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."

Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.

The Baron notices the posters and frowns. Missing cat? That was his line of work. Especially any creature out in this weather. But first things first. "Excuse me, miss," he says, stepping in front of her smartly. "There is a drop-off point for extra blankets over there, and if you wish to donate food to the cause, you can leave it there." He smiled. "And I will help you look for your cat when the storm clears."

Nadia blinks, looks over at the tables, and nods. She's hard pressed not to stare at the cat in front of her for too long, but manages it with a relieved smile. "Thank you. I'm pretty worried about him. I'm Nadia."

The Baron sweeps off his hat and gives her a bow. "A pleasure, Miss Nadia. I am Baron Humbert von Gikkingen, Cat Business Office." He hands her a wee business card. "Currently acting as rations-wrangler."

Nadia smiles wider at the Baron's gentlemanly behavior and takes the card. "Thanks again. I'll just drop this stuff off. Do you need any help with the 'rations-wrangling'?"

"I believe I have it under control," the Baron replied urbanely. "There are others who may require assistance more than I." He bows again. "To my duties, then."
