The P.A. crackles to life.

"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."

Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.

Alfred nodded. He tilted his head to the side slightly and smiled. "I am correct in assuming that you're FDNY? It's good to know someone with experience is here."

Tommy blinked in surprise. "Yeah. How'd you know?"

"Accent, callouses on the hands, the occasional burn or two. The way your prioritize things. Things like that. I was trained in my old life to be able to size people up in such a manner. These days it's little more than a party trick, I suppose." He shrugged.

"And here I would've thought it was the sound of my balls clanking together," Tommy said. "But I guess your way works too."

Alfred smirked. "That was one of the clues. But that can also mean that I'm talking with NYPD."

Tommy smirked. "My brother's NYPD. Trust me. That one ain't true."

"I'll have to remember that. It would destroy my party trick if I confused NYPD and FDNY. But between you and me, that's also a trick to tell people who are British Intelligence."

"I wasn't aware the British had intelligence but okay, let's hear your theory."

Alfred smiled enigmatically. "Well, you can hear mine, can't you? Even though I've been out of the service for at least thirty years."

"Okay," Tommy said, not really sure where this was going.

~~Neither does Alfred's mun. 'Cause, dude. how do you stop this?~~

Alfred shook his head. "It's not important. Old British Intelligence joke. I'd best get back to running the food line. It was nice to meet you, Mr. Gavin. Come by restaurant when this is all over. You'll eat for free."

"I like the price tag," Tommy said. "Oh, hey, ever need some construction work done keep me in mind. I moonlight."

"I may actually take you up on that," Alfred said. "I might need a few unusual rooms added."

Tommy handed him a copy of his flyer ~~which we'll just say he had in his pocket~~. "There you go. My number's on it."

~~Biiiig pockets~~. "Ahh, thank you. Good luck," Alfred said, moving back to the line.
