Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening
The P.A. crackles to life.
"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."
Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.
[ooc: Huzzah! Townies can come to this post for their safety and warmth! Screening is disabled! Students and Teachers are welcome to organize something... but as it's an emergency, we hath not actually organized the refugee effort! Organize! Be Swift! But above all, interact and have fun!]

Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
She opened up the Clue and the Monopoly, pillaging them for dice.
"How about Ship, Captain, and crew (http://www.gamecabinet.com/rules/ShipCaptainCrew.html)?"
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
"You'll have to humor me, though. Do you play 1, 2, 3 or 4, 5, 6?"
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
"So what brings you here to Fandom Ed? It can't be the weather."
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
Edmund's mun, professional geek that she is, has a bag of dice within reach to roll. His first flop was a six, a four, two threes, and a two.
"Business. I own All and Sundries. Why did your Pappa send you here to go to school?"
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
Pippi's mun, having finished her D&D game, can now roll her dice for this game rather then for damage against Barghasts.Pippi rolled two 6's, two 5's, and a two.
"Damn, wish I could have rolled that against those Rat-Men rogues.""He didn't send me. He's out terrorizing the 7 seas. I sent myself..." She kept one 6 and one 5.
"First I told myself nicely. 'Pippi, you should really get an education.' But I didn't listen. So then I had to tell myself more sternly, 'Pippilotta you call up your friend Annika and ask her to help you find a proper school right this instant!' ... I almost never get cross, so when I hear myself raising my voice at me I know I'm serious."
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
The surcharge on her future All and Sundries bills went up.
And she was a strangely familiar sort of loon. He had a sudden strange
anachronisticgratitude that she couldn't order his beheading."And so you hied yourself off to this institution. An excellent choice, my dear."
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
"I think so. This is ever such a nicer school then the one I tried before... And It's certainly better then having to be cross with myself. I can be very stern sometimes."
Biting her lower lip in concentration, Pippi rolls a 4,3,5.
Good thing there was an NPC Market...
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
"Miss Longstocking, your luck tonight outstrips mine. You will have to come to my shop and allow me to give you a congratulatory cup of tea as well."
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
"Outstrips you? But you've still got your clothes on..."
She seems confused.
She'd heard something about the other students playing a game for eachothers clothing, but she hadn't been aware that she was playing it with this fellow she'd just met.
She wondered if it would get her more detention.
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
Speaking more slowly and enunciating carefully, he clarified, "No, dear, I mean that your luck is better than mine
because we know that God favors fools and madmen."He might be feeling rather peevish, but he was putting a good face on it.

She glanced down at the two silver coins though she couldn't for the life of her think what to do with the nasty little things. Maybe Mr. Neilson would like to play with them.
"Good night Ed." She said slipping them into her pocket. "It was very nice meeting you."
Re: GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - POKER
The girl gambled with gold. He could afford to be polite.
