Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening

The P.A. crackles to life.

"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."

Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.

[ooc: Huzzah! Townies can come to this post for their safety and warmth! Screening is disabled! Students and Teachers are welcome to organize something... but as it's an emergency, we hath not actually organized the refugee effort! Organize! Be Swift! But above all, interact and have fun!]

Victor came back after being bitched at by some stranger. "Hey, Alanna, this guy over here who says he's the clinic wants Doctor House. Do you know how to get ahold of him?"

"Alanna? Isn't Dr. House or Dr. Wilson here yet?" Susan looked around in concern, clutching a bedroll under one arm and an overnight bag slung over the other. "I just arrived. What's happening?"

Camulus hears the announcement and goes for the bottom drawer of his filing cabinent, grabbing the only technology he had kept on hand - the Goa'uld healing device. He nods to the little green guy. "I will assist you."

Tommy blinked a hell of a lot at Victor's appearance. But then again he'd met a vampire the other day and talked to ghosts on a regular basis. He could deal with... whatever it was Victor had.

"Hey, kid," he said, "actual doctors. Where are they?"

Alanna glanced up at Tommy. "Doctor House and Doctor Wilson? I'm not sure, sir. I was working at the clinic when Victor asked me to move over here. Are you a doctor, sir?"

"Hey Victor, I picked up a metric buttton (which is roughly twice the standard American buttton) of extra supplies from the Emporium this afternoon before things started getting really bad... Do you need any of it?"

"Like, medical stuff? Or other stuff?" he asked, confused. "I think we have plenty of medical stuff, but more couldn't hurt. As far as other stuff, I just went shopping this morning."

"Yeah, I almost cleared out the first aid section just in case we got cut off from the Clinic or something..." she shrugged, "I can't help it, when you've lived on a ship most of your life and the weather starts getting bad? You tend to stock up on stuff if you can."

Harper wandered into the gym. Considering that fact that he was shivering, soaking wet and had just wandered in out of a blizzard, it would probably be a good idea for someone to take a look at him.

Janet saw someone blond and sarcastic-looking and possibly hypothermic looking. She grabbed a blanket and walked over to him. "Hi," she said. "Come on over here. Let's see if anyone has some space clothing for you to put on."

Ivanova hesitates before heading over towards the med station, her crane flitting after her. It didn't look like there were too many injured at the moment. "Hey, how is everyone holding up?" she asked with a little smile.

Ivanova blinked, and would have blushed if she wasn't too cold to get the blood moving all the way back up to her face. "Um, yes. You were otherwise occupied with, um, Walter. I didn't want to interrupt." She held out the basket of sweets. "Chocolate or candy, to keep your spirits up?"
