Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening

The P.A. crackles to life.

"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."

Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.

[ooc: Huzzah! Townies can come to this post for their safety and warmth! Screening is disabled! Students and Teachers are welcome to organize something... but as it's an emergency, we hath not actually organized the refugee effort! Organize! Be Swift! But above all, interact and have fun!]

"Real or created, I bet there will be. I just hope there aren't any problems with all these people shut up in one space." Lana looked thoughtful and maybe a touch worried.

"That's a good point - but we do have security here..." Kiki muses. "I hope people behave. At least we can go hide in our rooms if things start getting rowdy."

"Very true. Though I offered up my room figuring I could stay with Shep if someone needed the space." Lana rolled her eyes. "Though with my luck, he'll give up his, too, and *I'll* end up sleeping down here!" She grinned.

Kiki can't help but grin, her cheeks pinking a little at Lana's mention of Shep. "I offered the spare bed in my room, too - but I have no idea when they'll get around to assigning those, or if mine will even be needed. If it ends up that you're roomless again, and they haven't assigned anyone to my room, you're welcome to stay again, if you'd like."

Laan smiles at her. "That is so nice of you! And if it turns out that we're both short a room, we can always bunk together in the fourth floor common room. The couches are very comfy."

"Good point," Kiki nods. "And they're not burninated like the ones on the second floor - although I think those finally got replaced."

Kiki laughs suddenly as an idea pops into her head. "We could always have a slumber party in the common room!"

"Hey! That would be a great idea!" Lana says enthusiastically as if the exclamation points hadn't given it away. "Once things have settled down somewhat here we can head up and have a grand time! Invite all the people who were supposed to go to Caritas and anyone else who wants to join us!"

"Excellent! I've got a bunch of movies and a whole bunch of snacks I picked up for my club meeting on Monday. We can watch movies and hang out and crash when we decide we're too tired to stay up any more!"
