Announcement and Refugee Hosting in The Gym, Friday Evening

The P.A. crackles to life.

"We shall be opening our doors to the poor, powerless townsfolk. They are to gather in the gym. Volunteers to help organize blankets, bedding, food, and etcetera would be very welcome."

Smith then walks down to the gym, props open the doors, and walks away. This was going to be a mess, and he felt ignoring it would be the best method to deal with it, rather than letting his head explode. Again.

[ooc: Huzzah! Townies can come to this post for their safety and warmth! Screening is disabled! Students and Teachers are welcome to organize something... but as it's an emergency, we hath not actually organized the refugee effort! Organize! Be Swift! But above all, interact and have fun!]

Ivanova tags along with her boss. She may as well. She puts down her own burden of chocolate and let the paper crane free to flutter around her head. She smiles at the proper English gentleman.

Wonka gives Ivanova an approving look and nods back to Alfred. "Chocolate is wonderful! Do you know, the trooper that brought me here didn't know what chocolate was?" Wonka remembered himself. "Ah, I am Willy Wonka! I own the Sweets Shoppe. This is my employee, Miss Ivanova!"

"Hello, Mr. Pennyworth," Ivanova says rather too cheerfully for how cold she is. "Um, you wouldn't happen to have seen a young woman with pink hair anywhere around, have you?"

"Do not worry, I'm certain Tonks is fine," Wonka said assuringly, and opened a box of chocolates. "Strawberry?"

"Yeah, I'm sure she'll make it through better than we can." She waves away the chocolate. "No, thank you, sir. I'm working on an Everlasting Gobstopper." She pulled it out of her pocket and waved it around. The paper crane decided this was a new game and began swooping down to attack it.

"I'm afraid I have not, Miss. But I'm sure she's fine. The Troopers seem to be very competent."

He smiled. "I don't suppose I could begrudge you a chocolate?"

"Oh no, of course not!" She held out the large basket she was carrying. "Take as many as you like!"

The crane decided this was also a game and began divebombing the chocolates. Ivanova sighed and caught it. "You. Stay here," she commanded, feeling rather silly talking to a piece of origami.

Alfred was not easily suprised by an oragmi paper crane and accepted several chocolates. Popping one into his mouth, he nodded. "Thank you very much, but I must get back to making sure everyone eats."

Ivanova threw off a salute. "Good luck with that." She turned to Wonka. "Mr. Wonka, I'm going to start doing the rounds, offer people a pick-me-up, see if they need anything, alright?"

Wonka waved his hand at her, elegantly, and nodded. "Of course, that is a good idea."

"Unbelievable," Alfred said. "It's their loss if they haven't had the pleasure. In times like this, a little comfort is what people the most need."

"I shall send them a huge basket once I come back to my shop," Wonka said and munched down on a piece of chocolate.
