Investigator's Club, the Library -- NFB

After kicking out everyone who wasn't a library aide, a Librarian, or incipient club member, Parker hung a sign on the outside door:

INVESTIGATOR'S CLUB MEETING
PRIVATE

Then adjourned to the counter, where the brownies, drinks, cookies, and fudge were.

Hopefully, more than just Marty, Zero, Janet and the Souled Wonder were going to show.

Angel, his eye ever on the ball, came into the library and didn't even wait for a hello before launching into his most immediate concern:

"Stake me now, they moved the math final to next week."

Having received the email and getting curious what everything was about, Cameron wanders into the library after archaeology class. "Yo, Parker."

"Hey, Mitchell. Grab some food and a seat." She looked around, then frowned. "Damn. I should get a sign-in sheet."

"Uh... Yo, Zero." Cameron looks a bit nervous as he notices her. He'd brought her cake a few days ago as bribery, but hadn't been able to get hold of her then.

Jenny pushed open the door to the library, walked in, and closed it behind herself. "Feels just like home," she said, coming over to one of the tables.

"If there's a Hellmouth under this damn thing - " Angel started to say, stopped, thought about it, then finished " - actually that'd answer a lot of questions."

Parker rolls her eyes at this again, and smiles. "Carson. Awesome performance in the play last night. Really."

Elizabeth waved as she entered the library. "Hey, guys," she said, dropping her bag in front of the counter.

"Hey, Liz!" said Janet, waving from where she and Sam were sitting behind the Collections Desk. "How goes the studying?"

"For those of you just joining us...."

"Basically, the Investigator's Club *is*, as I mentioned in the e-mail, for investigating weirdness around Fandom High and Fandom Island. Locker 327 -- though we won't be bungee-jumping in again-- gremlins, giant squid, zombie armies, and the like.

"But we have a second agenda, which some of you are already aware of." Parker looked around. "There are threats to the safety of the student body and the general population on this island: vampires, demons, unethical magicians, and evil geniuses who happen to be our fellow students. We do not want to become illegal vigilantes; that's why we've invited Professor Tick, Dr. House and Miss Calendar here. But we *do* want to protect ourselves, and our friends. You're here because we thought you could, or might want to, help."

Cameron listen to the explanation. If he needed any more convincing after the mention of vampires, having back up from The Tick sealed the deal and moves over to the sign up sheet.

He wanders in to the library, step-stab-step-stab with his cane.

"So are you The Tick, or Dr. House?" asked Jenny. "Because you're obviously not me, and we're the token adults here today."

"Do all three of you want to be advisors?" Parker asked Miss Calendar, Professor Tick, and Dr. House. "We could certainly use the help. The club might even get larger than this, and you all have different backgrounds that could help. Unless you think the club is a bad idea?"

House tapped his cane on the floor. "I'm in," he said simply. He didn't feel it needed any more explanation.

Parker kicks Marty in the ankle. "Do you want to be in charge? I just know that if we make Fangs be the figurehead, it'll all go to hell in one week."

"And I'd like to keep my furniture unbroken. If anyone knows anything, let me know so I can secure breakables," John jokes even though the thought of someone trying to desoul Angel is a bit scary.
