Investigator's Club, the Library -- NFB

After kicking out everyone who wasn't a library aide, a Librarian, or incipient club member, Parker hung a sign on the outside door:

INVESTIGATOR'S CLUB MEETING
PRIVATE

Then adjourned to the counter, where the brownies, drinks, cookies, and fudge were.

Hopefully, more than just Marty, Zero, Janet and the Souled Wonder were going to show.

"Depends on the person, but yeah," Angel said. "Again not me 'cause trying to avoid going evil. But put it the right way and it could work. Um - what am I supposed to do? Hold my hand out?"

"Nah," Bridge says and takes off a glove, "the hand thing is all on my part."

He waves a hand in Angel's direction and then slips his glove back on, leaning back in his chair with an-ever-so-thoughtful "huh..."

Angel tensed up, as though expecting Bridge's reading to tickle. He felt nothing, then frowned at Bridge's response. "Huh? What huh?"

"Blue-green," Bridge clarifies. "Or maybe green-blue. But definitely not navy, because the greeny side had too much green to be navy. Maybe it was more like... aqua..." he trails off. "Um. That's good."

"Really? I always thought green made me look washed out. You know, 'cause of the pale?"

"Nah, gotta say... looks good on you, dude. If it was red then maybe I'd worry."

"Maybe a dark green," Angel continued, momentarily lost in thoughts of fashion. He snapped back to the point. "Red would mean evil?"

"Yeah, usually," Bridge shrugs, "which is weird when you think about it, because where I come from, we have, like, these superheroes? And the leader is almost always Red. But he's a good guy. So I gotta wonder why they made that choice."

"Where I'm from it's leather pants," Angel said. "That and smoking. See me wearing black leather pants and lighting a cigarette? You know the soul's gone."
