Investigator's Club, the Library -- NFB

After kicking out everyone who wasn't a library aide, a Librarian, or incipient club member, Parker hung a sign on the outside door:

INVESTIGATOR'S CLUB MEETING
PRIVATE

Then adjourned to the counter, where the brownies, drinks, cookies, and fudge were.

Hopefully, more than just Marty, Zero, Janet and the Souled Wonder were going to show.

"Do all three of you want to be advisors?" Parker asked Miss Calendar, Professor Tick, and Dr. House. "We could certainly use the help. The club might even get larger than this, and you all have different backgrounds that could help. Unless you think the club is a bad idea?"

House tapped his cane on the floor. "I'm in," he said simply. He didn't feel it needed any more explanation.

"Thanks." Parker grinned. "I'll bring the lollipops to the next meeting."

"Couldn't keep me away," said Jenny. She had a personal stake in keeping the creepy-crawlies out of the way.

"Thanks, Miss Calendar. I know it's a lot to dump on someone their second week here. I just hope you stay long enough to be a permanent teacher."

"She's handled the worst of me," Angel said. "She can handle this school."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence, Angel," said Jenny.

Parker came over a few minutes later, Piper in tow. "Piper Halliwell, Miss Calendar. Miss Calendar, Piper. She's the only witch I know personally, and she's okay with being our coordinator for magic stuff with you. If that's okay?"

Piper glanced at Miss Calendar. "Nice to meet you."

[ooc: Gah, so sorry it took me so long to reply to this. Got distracted.]

"Hi, Piper," said Jenny. "Nice to meet you. We got any other magic types around here, or is it just you and me?"

Piper looked around. "I think it's just you and me."

"Well," said Jenny. "That's fine, then. Better two magic types than just one, right? Let's get to know each other better. Want to tell me about yourself?"

The Tick, having walked in late ~~as if he hadn't seen the e-mail and had to figure out last minute if he could remain IC for his own plot while still showing up here~~ was quiet as he took in everything that was said.

"It sounds like a very good idea, Parker," Tick said simply. "I'd be glad to help."

"Thanks, sir. I appreciate it, given, uh. The whole gremlin encounter," Parker said, wincing.

"What gremlin encounter?" Tick asked, confused. "All I remember is the Campus Beautification Committee..."

"Nevermind! Notimportant. Long story," Parker said, getting her breath back. "Anyway, you and Lockheed would definitely be assets to the club."

"I'm glad to do whatever I can to help," Tick said, still rather quietly.

"So you're The Tick?" asked Jenny. She tilted her head and studied his costume. "Nice outfit."

"Yes, I am," Tick said. He was generally more enthusiastic than this. "Miss Calendar, right? The new psychology professor?"

"You got it," said Jenny. "Gosh, everyone knows who I am. I must be the only new kid around. So you're a superhero type?" Having never met Tick, Jenny didn't know he was often more enthused.

"Well, that, and Parker also said your name." Tick smiled slightly at that.
