Fandom High Graduation Ceremony Class of 2006 - Monday night

[OOC: This post is open for slow-play. Take your time and please remember that this is all about the seniors!]

As the sun disappeared below the horizon on Monday evening, large, bright lights came on, illuminating the front lawn of Fandom High. There was a stage area with several chairs for the administration and special guests, as well as a podium and microphone. On the grass in front of the stage are rows and rows of chairs for parents, guardians, siblings and friends of the graduating seniors, as well as enough chairs for any faculty, townies and students who decide to attend. There is an aisle free down the middle and reserved seats in the front row for the graduating seniors.

All in all, the place looks fantastic decked out in blue and gold thanks to the efforts of the freshmen on the graduation committee.

Oh yes. Then there's the inflatable gremlin filled with helium off to the side that's the size of the building. It looks kind of cute, actually, just floating there while tied to the ground.

At the entry of the graduation area, there is a big board with photos of the seniors, decorations and the results of the "Senior Contributions" and "Most Likely To..." polls.

Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem are here and playing for your pleasure.

Vice Principal Pierce stepped up to the podium. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the first graduation ceremony for Fandom High. Please stand for the precession of seniors." Here come the seniors down the aisle in their blue gowns with gold trim. They're walking in pairs in alphabetical order:

Logan Echolls & Piper Halliwell
Xander Harris & Susan Ivanova
Veronica Mars & Lindsey McDonald
Anakin Skywalker & Chloe Sullivan
Rose Tyler

"Please welcome our guest speaker, the actress formerly known as your favorite and mine, Bitterwoman..." Hawkeye did say the actress' name, but the microphone feedback squealed through the speakers and couldn't be heard.

One by one, the seniors are called up on stage to receive their diplomas.

Off to the side during Callisto's speech, there is a snapping sound and then another. Then there is an almighty SCREECH, interrupting the end of Callisto's speech. The so-called inflatable gremlin has come to life! It looks unhappy. What everyone will notice is that when they try to get up, their chairs are stuck to the ground and they are stuck to their chairs!

Except the seniors. What a coincidence. Um, hold tight folks. Surely the seniors will come to your rescue!

The animate inflatable gremlin has been defeated! Huzzah! When the gremlin is defeated, everyone seems to be able to get up again. Weird, no?

"Ladies and gentlemen, thus concludes our graduation ceremony. Congratulations to the first graduating class of Fandom High!"
