Fandom High Graduation Ceremony Class of 2006 - Monday night

As the sun disappeared below the horizon on Monday evening, large, bright lights came on, illuminating the front lawn of Fandom High. There was a stage area with several chairs for the administration and special guests, as well as a podium and microphone. On the grass in front of the stage are rows and rows of chairs for parents, guardians, siblings and friends of the graduating seniors, as well as enough chairs for any faculty, townies and students who decide to attend. There is an aisle free down the middle and reserved seats in the front row for the graduating seniors.

All in all, the place looks fantastic decked out in blue and gold thanks to the efforts of the freshmen on the graduation committee.

Oh yes. Then there's the inflatable gremlin filled with helium off to the side that's the size of the building. It looks kind of cute, actually, just floating there while tied to the ground.

Grams and Prue took seats as close to the front as they could. Prue had her camera ready to take pictures of Piper as she got her diploma.

Phoebe made her way to sit with Grams and Prue, making sure that there were two open seats with her for Paige and Blair... and maybe a seat for Lana, too.

Widow Twanky, took a seat where she could keep an eye on Angel and Callisto, she didn't trust that fellow not to try and take advantage of the poor innocent girl.

So what if she should have been more worried about Callisto taking advantage the poor innocent vampire.

Keith Mars took his place right up front, camera at ready.

Complete with telephoto lens and top of the line digital zoom. Lord help anyone who decided to sit in front of him and block his view of his little girl's commencement.

G'Kar, beaming around at just about everything and having absolutely no idea what was going on (yet enjoying himself immensely) sat down right in front of the man with the camera.

Gabe Sullivan might not have the shiniest camera like Keith Mars, but he does have the best videocamera he could find. After all, Chloe's only going to graduate from high school twice once.

Jack Bristow, who seemingly came from nowhere as Bristows do, took a seat quietly at the back. If one were to notice him, they would get the sense that it'd be best not to notice him, really, and go about their business. It's a trick Bristow picked up from DEATH.

Beyond that, Jack looks as proud as he can without actually mustering up the appropriate facial expression or body language.

Willow got there very, very early, took a seat on the aisle and pulled out two digital cameras and a videocamera. And a pocket regular camera, just in case.

"I hope I have enough memory, and maybe I should have gotten more batteries, or film..."

After having showered the woods gook out of her hair, Angela made it to graduation and took a seat to watch the ceremony.

She was not going to get sniffly. Really.

Parker saw Bridge and Isabel (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/869030.html?thread=40390310#t40390310) and went to sit by them, and did massive double-take when she saw Dean Bristow. "Whoa."

Then she looked around for Finn, Smith, and Conner. And Jaye. Because if the kickline happened? She so owed Jaye massive drinks.

Jaye is all prepared to watch a bunch of people graduate and go on to fail at life. Really. She is completely not attached to anyone, nuh uh.

And the camera is just in case someone falls on their face when getting their diploma, honestly.

One could have sworn that it had been a woman in a red dress.

But now, sitting in the crowd, is a suited man in sunglasses. He cocks his head slightly at the gathering.

"And I suppose they think this is some sort of accomplishment," he mumbles to himself. "Tell me, what is the point in graduating, if you are unable to consider it a real accomplishment?"

Dewey is there, in his best duds. He's applauding half the time.

The other half, he's eating bearclaws he picked up from J,GOB. Because he loves him some J,GOB bearclaws.

Aeryn has to come and watch. She's never seen one of these before, and she wants to witness people she knows and likes getting recognition. She takes a seat somewhere near the middle and settles in to watch.

Honor and Nimitz arrived well before the ceremony, taking a seat on the end of an aisle, near the middle. Once seated, Nimitz curled up in her lap as they sat and waited for the events to begin. Honor was once again glad for the "zoom" feature on her prosthetic eye.

Mac quickly finds herself a seat before the ceremony starts. She's been trying not to think about the fact that so many people are leaving, this whole event is making that denial a whole lot more difficult.
