As the sun disappeared below the horizon on Monday evening, large, bright lights came on, illuminating the front lawn of Fandom High. There was a stage area with several chairs for the administration and special guests, as well as a podium and microphone. On the grass in front of the stage are rows and rows of chairs for parents, guardians, siblings and friends of the graduating seniors, as well as enough chairs for any faculty, townies and students who decide to attend. There is an aisle free down the middle and reserved seats in the front row for the graduating seniors.

All in all, the place looks fantastic decked out in blue and gold thanks to the efforts of the freshmen on the graduation committee.

Oh yes. Then there's the inflatable gremlin filled with helium off to the side that's the size of the building. It looks kind of cute, actually, just floating there while tied to the ground.

Phoebe hugged her Grams back. "She looks so great up there."

"Next year it will be you, my dear girl," Grams said.

No pressure, there. Phoebe didn't like thinking about senior year and missing everyone.

"If the fates are kind," Phoebe agreed.

"A friend of yours told me you're doing well with your classes," Grams said.

Phoebe blushed. "The lowest grade I got this semester was an A-."

"Excellent, my dear. I knew you had it in you."

Phoebe didn't have the words to tell Grams how much that meant to her.

"The teachers are mostly great here and I study a lot."

"Your boyfriend doesn't distract you from your homework?" Grams asked with an arched eyebrow.

At least she could be honest about this.

"No Grams. My boyfriend is very adamant that I attend all of my classes and do my homework no matter what."

"When am I going to meet him, or are you hiding him from me?" Grams asked.

Phoebe smiled at her and shook her head.

"No, Grams," she said quietly. "Blair had some things to take care of, but he will be here. He's a bit nervous about meeting you because he's worried you won't like him."

"I'm sure we'll get along just fine," Grams said, but her smile was just a little bit forced.

Phoebe looked down to gather her composure so Grams wouldn't see the sadness she felt. It didn't matter how great of a guy the boyfriend was, Grams just didn't think much of the male species and would never trust any guy around her granddaughters.

"My boyfriend takes very god care of me, Grams," she said quietly. "He treats me like I'm some sort of queen."

That was also, true. Her real boyfriend... her Cole treated her like a goddess.

"As well he should," Grams sniffed. "Halliwell women are a special breed. What about Piper's boyfriend, does he treat her well?"

Phoebe smiled cheerfully. "Lindsey adores Piper, Grams," she nodded. "He would do almost anything for her."

"He's graduating, too, isn't he?" Grams said, peering at her program. "Is that him next to Veronica in the procession?"

Phoebe smiled and nodded. "Yes, that's him."

"She doesn't look too happy," Grams pointed out. "That smile seems forced. Did she just stomp on his foot?"

Phoebe had noticed that, too. There was only one reason she could think of that Veronica would do that to Lindsey and her eyes narrowed in anger.

What the hell had he done to Piper?

Phoebe quickly shook her head. "It must be nerves on her part. If she was really unhappy with him, she'd just taser him and be done with it."

"Phoebe?" Blair bounced nervously into the seat next to her and gave her a quick hug and grin. "Sorry it took me so long to get here!"

Grams peered at the newcomer with interest. "You must be Blair," she said.

"Yes, Blair Sandburg; you must be Mrs. Halliwell, it's a pleasure to meet you!" Blair grinned and tried to put as much charm into it as he could.

"I've heard such good things about you from Phoebe."
