Fandom High Graduation Ceremony Class of 2006 - Monday night

[OOC: This post is open for slow-play. Take your time and please remember that this is all about the seniors!]

As the sun disappeared below the horizon on Monday evening, large, bright lights came on, illuminating the front lawn of Fandom High. There was a stage area with several chairs for the administration and special guests, as well as a podium and microphone. On the grass in front of the stage are rows and rows of chairs for parents, guardians, siblings and friends of the graduating seniors, as well as enough chairs for any faculty, townies and students who decide to attend. There is an aisle free down the middle and reserved seats in the front row for the graduating seniors.

All in all, the place looks fantastic decked out in blue and gold thanks to the efforts of the freshmen on the graduation committee.

Oh yes. Then there's the inflatable gremlin filled with helium off to the side that's the size of the building. It looks kind of cute, actually, just floating there while tied to the ground.

Molly turned and grinned at him. "I am," she said. "It's kind of chilly tonight so I'm glad I have one to wear."

"Hrmph," was his comment to that because he was pouty about this. Yes.

The pouting made Molly grin more, but she soon turned away from him because she didn't want to stare.

Cameron frowned and looked at the stage. "You okay?"

Molly looked at the seniors sitting in the front row. "They're leaving," she said, no longer grinning.

"Yeah," he nodded. "That's what usually happens after high school."

Molly frowned. "I'm not used to people leaving. Or if they do, it's usually not for happy reasons. I don't like it," she said.

He frowned. "This is different, this is about moving along and making a life."

"I know," Molly said with a sigh. "Right now though, it just feels like I'm losing people I just met."

"You're not. They'll be in touch," he said and touched the back of her hand.

Molly turned her hand over so that she could take his hand in hers. She grinned up at him. "You're right," she said. "It's just not something I'm used to."

Cameron nodded in understanding and squeezed her hand. "I'll miss them too," he admitted.
