As the sun disappeared below the horizon on Monday evening, large, bright lights came on, illuminating the front lawn of Fandom High. There was a stage area with several chairs for the administration and special guests, as well as a podium and microphone. On the grass in front of the stage are rows and rows of chairs for parents, guardians, siblings and friends of the graduating seniors, as well as enough chairs for any faculty, townies and students who decide to attend. There is an aisle free down the middle and reserved seats in the front row for the graduating seniors.

All in all, the place looks fantastic decked out in blue and gold thanks to the efforts of the freshmen on the graduation committee.

Oh yes. Then there's the inflatable gremlin filled with helium off to the side that's the size of the building. It looks kind of cute, actually, just floating there while tied to the ground.

"It's a good thing most of us seem to come from different worlds. Fandom High graduate versus Fandom High graduate could get ugly." He perked up and laughed. "It's a plot. Fandom High wants to rule multiple universes through us."

"They keep their friends close, and their alumni closer."

"Augh!" Walter poked Nadia in the ribs and groaned melodramatically.

Nadia twitched at the poking, and grinned. "What?" she asked innocently. "You don't like my humor?"

Walter grinned back and shook his head. "I refuse to answer that on the grounds that you may hurt me."

Nadia poked him. "Damn right. Or I'd have one of my many ~~minions~~ loyal friends do it for me."

"You have a virtual army already," he said as he twitched away from the pokes. "But you said you'd take care of me yourself, right?"

"Well, there is that. Why, thinking you could take me?" Nadia raised an eyebrow, her smile not diminishing.

"That depends upon the field of battle." He held up his hand and wiggled his fingers at her. "I win all tickle fights."

Alas, now was not the time to prove him wrong. "Oh, you think so? That's not what I remember."

"We'll have to make a temporary non-aggression pact for graduation, but if you're looking for a rematch, I'll be around later." He held his hand out to her palm up. "Because I'm a gentleman, I'll let you keep track of my weapons for now." An ulterior hand holding motive? Surely not.

Nadia took his hand. "And it's only fair that you ought to watch mine, as well."
