Fandom High Graduation Ceremony Class of 2006 - Monday night

[OOC: This post is open for slow-play. Take your time and please remember that this is all about the seniors!]

As the sun disappeared below the horizon on Monday evening, large, bright lights came on, illuminating the front lawn of Fandom High. There was a stage area with several chairs for the administration and special guests, as well as a podium and microphone. On the grass in front of the stage are rows and rows of chairs for parents, guardians, siblings and friends of the graduating seniors, as well as enough chairs for any faculty, townies and students who decide to attend. There is an aisle free down the middle and reserved seats in the front row for the graduating seniors.

All in all, the place looks fantastic decked out in blue and gold thanks to the efforts of the freshmen on the graduation committee.

Oh yes. Then there's the inflatable gremlin filled with helium off to the side that's the size of the building. It looks kind of cute, actually, just floating there while tied to the ground.

Lindsey could think of any number of people he'd rather be walking next to right now than Veronica. Sadly, he had no options.

Veronica was smiling brightly as she walked next to Lindsey.

But on the inside? She was furious about what he had done to Piper.

"You're lucky there are so many witnesses here," she hissed through her teeth.

Lindsey tried not to wince at Veronica's words.

"Not the time, Veronica," he muttered. "Really not the time."

"No, the time would have been weeks ago when you found out, not the night before graduation, Lindsey. Do you remember what I told you the first time we met?"

Veronica was still smiling brightly. Her lips were barely moving.

Lindsey gulped. Discreetly, of course.

"Maybe you didn't notice but things have been a little crazy the past couple weeks?" Lindsey was trying very hard to keep the smile on his face.

"Well, at least you told her and didn't just send a postcard once you were gone."

Veronica gave him a sideways glare. Still smiling, naturally.

"You know I didn't do this on purpose." It was possible Lindsey's smile was fading a bit. Just a bit.

"I do," Veronica agreed. "That's why I didn't hide my taser under my gown."

"Thank heaven for small favors," Lindsey answered. He might have been very serious.

They finally arrived at their row and as they took their seats, Veronica accidentally stepped on Lindsey's foot.

You wouldn't think a 5'1" girl that barely weighed a hundred pounds could do much damage that way, but you'd be surprised.

To Lindsey's credit, he managed not to yelp when Veronica attempted to crush his foot. And if he made a horrible face, well, at least his back was to the audience at this point.

Keith has been snapping away the whole time his daughter was walking down the aisle.

He might have managed a nice shot of toe tromping, not that he'll notice until he looks at the images again, later.

V might have heard a loud "WOOT!" coming from the audience when she walked by a certain someone.

Veronica might have stopped glaring/snarking at Lindsey long enough to flash a smile and wink in that certain someone's direction.
