Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2008, Saturday Afternoon (Part I)

The sun was shining over the front lawn of the school (except for the part of the bleachers covered by an awning, in case anyone with sun issues had shown up), and the temperature had thankfully turned out to be perfect for the occasion. There was a stage placed prominently on the lawn, set up with a podium and a number of heavy metal chairs for the administration and guests. In front of the stage were platforms with more of the metal chairs; they'd been painted blue and gold, and were sitting empty and waiting for the arrival of the class of 2008. There were bleachers on each side of the platforms, for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town who wanted to come and watch.

Alas, it was time for another class to graduate.

Like last year, it'll be kind of hard to miss the events of the second post, so you might want to hold off an any post-graduation posts for a while to avoid being Jossed.]

Jared eyed the heavy metal chairs as he looked for a good spot in the bleachers. They looked like they'd break into bitching guitar solos at any minute.

Caroline took a seat near enough the stage that she'd be able to get to Seely quickly if the fool boy did something stupid.

Zero staked out a seat with a good view and saved a place next to her for Parker by planting her bag there.

A neon green croquet mallet and a cricket bat stuck out of her bag, for lo, Zero had come prepared this year. And she wasn't even a kitten.

Diane and Phillip Evans took their seats in the crowd and looked around. They'd heard enough stories from Isabel in the last year that they were very curious as to who was who in the crowd surrounding them.

Liz arrived and after looking around for a bit she found a seat and sat down.

Mr. and Mrs. Hargrove found seats as near to Annette as they could get. "Mr. Hargrove, I am not climbing bleachers," Mrs. Hargrove said, bright smile in place. Fake. But there nonetheless.

"Mrs. Hargrove, you will hush, sit down, and enjoy the ceremony," her husband told her.

"Pick a bottom bleacher and I shall. These heels are new, Vera Wang, and I'll not have--" Mrs. Hargrove rattled on while her husband simply rolled his eyes.

Lizzie took a seat near the aisle just in case she got the urge to trip Meg or something. She sat back in her chair and scoped the audience for cute guys.

Orleanna discretely found a seat, preparing to scan through the crowd a little for the silent daughter while the other daughter would more than likely whisper her ear off with unappreciated comments. She swore, with how different those two were, she may as well have had an affair way back when, but that was assuming she would have ever had time for it. Still, spotting Adah would be a difficult task: no doubt, she was trying to blend in and disappear as much as possible.

At first Andros hadn't been sure if he'd be making the graduation ceremony but he had managed to leave KO-35 early enough so that he returned to Fandom that morning. He came in and after he had looked around, he found a seat and sat down.

Also, it proves that anything you say about Chuck Norris becomes the truth, even if it wasn't true before. This is proven by the fact that I just said that, so it is now true, QED. Even Chuck Norris cannot roundhouse kick that logic. Therefore, he cannot.
