Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2008, Saturday Afternoon (Part I)

The sun was shining over the front lawn of the school (except for the part of the bleachers covered by an awning, in case anyone with sun issues had shown up), and the temperature had thankfully turned out to be perfect for the occasion. There was a stage placed prominently on the lawn, set up with a podium and a number of heavy metal chairs for the administration and guests. In front of the stage were platforms with more of the metal chairs; they'd been painted blue and gold, and were sitting empty and waiting for the arrival of the class of 2008. There were bleachers on each side of the platforms, for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town who wanted to come and watch.

Alas, it was time for another class to graduate.

[OOC: If you ping in before the OCD is over, I will end you and all that you love. Ahem. OCD is done, go and rock out! This post is for audience mingling and general graduation stuff. The requisite WTF-y part of graduation will be posted later. Like last year, it'll be kind of hard to miss the events of the second post, so you might want to hold off an any post-graduation posts for a while to avoid being Jossed.]

Mel took the diploma grinned and waved. Well at least she got her diploma before something tried to kill everyone.

Zuko was applauding. Not cheering, but you couldn't expect too much and it was an enthusiastic applause.
withoutverona: (manic glee!)

Romeo was clapping and cheering for Mel.

Even if she shouldn't leave so soon, dammit.

Dōjima let out a loud wolf-whistle as she clapped, cheering Mel on. Such awesomeness had to be appreciated properly.
likethegun: (i'm smiling to the left)

Sam cheered at Mel, and resisted the urge to whistle at her or make any noise that would make her want to kill him later.

Barney clapped for Mel. In some alternate universe he'd staked the slayer. Repeatedly. In the dirty way after making her pot pie. Today he could clap politely and try not to smile.

Katara cheered loudly for her friend. She was going to miss her a lot. Graduation was fine, but what was with the leaving afterwards?

Willow waved from her position in the line. "YAY MEL!"
needsaparrot: (with Mel - watching)

Xander really had no shame. What he did have was a giant foam finger.

Shaped like a Twinkie.

"That's MY Slayer!"

It's fun to point with a giant foam finger shaped like a Twinkie.

Of course when someone shows him the video he's going to facepalm, but right now he can't actually see what gesturing with a giant Twinkie actually looks like to people not holding the giant Twinkie, so yeah.

Ferris cheered and whistled with gusto. He didn't know her well, but she was hot and that was all that mattered.

"Go Mel!" Faith yelled from the stands. Probably not classy or whatever, but if Xander could chill out with that big foam finger, she could scream a little.

Badass slayer chicks had to stick together, right?
