Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2008, Saturday Afternoon (Part I)

The sun was shining over the front lawn of the school (except for the part of the bleachers covered by an awning, in case anyone with sun issues had shown up), and the temperature had thankfully turned out to be perfect for the occasion. There was a stage placed prominently on the lawn, set up with a podium and a number of heavy metal chairs for the administration and guests. In front of the stage were platforms with more of the metal chairs; they'd been painted blue and gold, and were sitting empty and waiting for the arrival of the class of 2008. There were bleachers on each side of the platforms, for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town who wanted to come and watch.

Alas, it was time for another class to graduate.

[OOC: If you ping in before the OCD is over, I will end you and all that you love. Ahem. OCD is done, go and rock out! This post is for audience mingling and general graduation stuff. The requisite WTF-y part of graduation will be posted later. Like last year, it'll be kind of hard to miss the events of the second post, so you might want to hold off an any post-graduation posts for a while to avoid being Jossed.]

"Her artist is done, he would have walked across the stage today if he'd stayed here instead of going out looking for her." Yurika turned her head slightly to press a kiss against his hair. "They found each other, and I don't think they would come back, even if they were able. Why would she, if she would have to leave him behind?"

"Which reminds me. I, ah, inherited her cat."
withoutverona: (um wha?)

"For love, I would have done the same," Romeo admitted. No point in wasting time in school if one's heart's desire awaited elsewhere, after all.

He raised an eyebrow at the other bit of news. "Is it a nice cat, at least?"

"We already know you're an incurable romantic," Dōjima teased, brushing her thumb over their hands. "Of course you would."

"She is," she nodded, "very nice and fluffy, and well behaved. Her name is Alea, you'll have to stop by and see her."
withoutverona: (damn right I'm cute)

He shrugged, not arguing with her accurate assessment.

"I think I can manage the long journey across the hall," he responded. "Alea. It's a nice name."

"It's a long, hard trip, you sure you can make it?" Dōjima squeezed his hand lightly, grinning. "I might have to drink you under the table tonight, and we'll have to pay a zombie to carry you home."
withoutverona: (B+W boyband)

Romeo shuddered. "I would rather sleep on the bar than be carried by a zombie," he said. "What if it wanted to come live with us?"

"Alea's a zombie-killing cat," she said seriously. "My room is a complete zombie-free zone. Always."

Which almost begged Fandom to challenge her on that, but not today. Please.

"Do you think she could guard my room as well?" Romeo asked seriously. "I'd give her some tuna for her pains."

"I'm sure bribery would be accepted." Joking was good, joking would hopefully keep his mind off the not-Juliet. "Alea seems rather amenable to all forms of attention."
