Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2008, Saturday Afternoon (Part I)

The sun was shining over the front lawn of the school (except for the part of the bleachers covered by an awning, in case anyone with sun issues had shown up), and the temperature had thankfully turned out to be perfect for the occasion. There was a stage placed prominently on the lawn, set up with a podium and a number of heavy metal chairs for the administration and guests. In front of the stage were platforms with more of the metal chairs; they'd been painted blue and gold, and were sitting empty and waiting for the arrival of the class of 2008. There were bleachers on each side of the platforms, for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town who wanted to come and watch.

Alas, it was time for another class to graduate.

[OOC: If you ping in before the OCD is over, I will end you and all that you love. Ahem. OCD is done, go and rock out! This post is for audience mingling and general graduation stuff. The requisite WTF-y part of graduation will be posted later. Like last year, it'll be kind of hard to miss the events of the second post, so you might want to hold off an any post-graduation posts for a while to avoid being Jossed.]

Prue hadn't been too surprised to see her Piper in the audience. She managed to get past the crowd of people to sit down next to her.

"Hey sweetie," Prue said. "Glad you could make it."

"Hi Prue," Piper said, giving her a happy smile. It was really nice to see her oldest sister, even though she looked a lot younger. "I wouldn't miss Wyatt graduating."

She'd missed out on most of his life. The least she could do was watch him receive a diploma.

"I'm sure he's going to be glad to see you," Prue said with a smile.

"I hope so," Piper said. "I'm taking the invitation as a good sign."

"Have you run into, um, any familiar faces yet?" Prue asked. She had seen Phoebe and Bel earlier and Prue guessed that the other Piper would be here too.

"I saw Phoebe and...me in the crowd," Piper replied. "I've seen a lot of strange things, but that is...surreal. I haven't talked to them, though. Didn't want to freak them out, you know?"

"I think it'll take a lot more than that to really freak them out," Prue admitted. "This school does a good job at preparing you for weird."

"I've heard that about this school," Piper replied. "I'll admit, seeing a younger me from another dimension kind of freaks me out. And makes me wish I was twenty again."

"Coming from someone who got to be sixteen again? It's not all it's cracked up to be," Prue said, grinning.

"I can imagine that must be strange," Piper said, smiling. "But it is good to see you, Prue."
