fandomhigh | Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2008, Saturday Afternoon (Part I)

The sun was shining over the front lawn of the school (except for the part of the bleachers covered by an awning, in case anyone with sun issues had shown up), and the temperature had thankfully turned out to be perfect for the occasion. There was a stage placed prominently on the lawn, set up with a podium and a number of heavy metal chairs for the administration and guests. In front of the stage were platforms with more of the metal chairs; they'd been painted blue and gold, and were sitting empty and waiting for the arrival of the class of 2008. There were bleachers on each side of the platforms, for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town who wanted to come and watch.

Alas, it was time for another class to graduate.

Z was still grinning like a loon when she went up to get her diploma. She'd done it. She'd graduated high school.

...she'd graduated this high school. And she'd only run off to Canada once!

Hey! Look at that! A bunch of green shirted guys making a lot of cheer type noises in th stands.

Yep. Z had her own Madrox cheering section.

Savannah cheered loudly for her fellow cheerleader.

Tori cheered loudly for Z.

Dean put his fingers in his mouth and whistled at Z.

Z, too, got an extra-loud round of applause. Kerrigan had a bias, and she didn't much care.

Kat was distracted for a moment by wondering about the chorus of Madri, but then she grinned and joined in the applause, standing to wave at Z.

Xander couldn't quite out-cheer Jamie, but Jamie was a cheater. Which Xander admired, but that's beside the point. The point is he at least tried to out-cheer Jamie.

Conner was making an almost embarrassing racket of cheers and whistling all on his own, really, when Z came up.

"Yay, Z!" Parker called, grinning and taking a picture.

Anders pulled Lancelot the stuffed orca, complete with his own little paper-and-string mortarboard, out of his pocket and waved him in the air as Z crossed the platform. "Z Z Z Z Z!" he called, making the little plush orca do a goofy dance.

Didn't really know her. So didn't matter. Ferris joined the crowd in making a ruckus.

And again, Jen with the complete lack of dignity, a huge grin on her face instead.

"You did it, Z! Way to go!"

Again, there wasn't much cheering coming from Andros but he still clapped loudly when Z got her diploma.

Adam cheered and clapped loudly for Z.
